Thursday, February 28, 2013. Ace is seven today! Kurt and I repeatedly say, "Ace is SPECIAL! Sometimes we're being funny because he says something a bit. off. But truly, God gave this kid an extra dose of "special! We are amazed by him and honored to be his parents! In his honor, I thought I'd post what Kurt and I wrote in his birthday card. Spring has certainly arrived and with it we have had BEAUTIFUL sunny days, thunderstorms that keep you up at night, high winds (except for the day we tried to fly a kite and the wind turned remarkably still), and sounds of lawnmowers outside. The best part of spring- playing ball outside, riding new and bigger bikes, hiking outdoors, and hearing kids happy voices and they run free after a long winter! The dog LOVED to be free,. Tuesday, July 12, 2011. We headed to the Black Hill for the 4th of July again this year. We went 3 years ago and had a really great time and felt like there was still a ton of stuff to check out, so we headed back this year. We'd go again too! A not-so-conventional view of Washington in profile. Cooking on the fire. Our awesome campground and its waterslide. The dinos in Rapid could use a coat of paint, but are otherwise just as fun for kiddos as they were when I was a kid. Becca and Jordan Duvall.

Friday, January 22, 2010. Realizing Your 7-Year Old is Smarter Than You. Little did I know, I should have! He began by explaining the names of the pieces and the moves- at which point my head is already spinning. He did great at maintaining his patience with the countless times I asked, 'What can this guy do again? While pointing to yet another piece and taking my time making each move.
