Monday, March 25, 2013. So this post is way overdue (she turns 12 months next week), but here's some things about 11-month old Violet. Likes to feed you whatever she's eating. Has gotten to the stage where she keeps pulling out her hair clips – wah! So wiggly and all over the place. She crawls super fast and always heads straight for the biggest mess she can make. Tuesday, August 5, 2014. First Day of Kindergarten! The day has finally arrived! Penny had her first day of kindergarten today and it went great! She's had a couple years of preschool by now so she had no problem saying goodbye to me and marching straight into class. She was so excited! Okay, stop taking pictures, Mom.". Thursday, May 14, 2015. Penny was set on a Cinderella party from early on and it was such a fun day! She loved her frilly dress and her special princess tiara. I wasn't sure if I could do a princess bun, but I think it turned out super cute! So proud of my cute six-year old! We had a little crown decorating craft with jewels and other little decorations. Cinderella cupcakes and goody bags! With her cute friends, Aileah and Stella. The guest of honor has arrived! So many little princesses!

Monday, September 16, 2013. When Penny told me she wanted to have a pirate party this year for her 5th birthday, I was super excited! Nothing's wrong with fairies or princesses, but who doesn't love pirates? We had fun putting together our outfits the night before, we didn't buy anything and just grabbed stuff from around the house. Our vests are cut up T-shirts. Fancy, right? What a couple of good looking pirates! I'm so glad we made it a dress-up party, everyone looked awesome! It was such a fun party!

Thursday, January 30, 2014. Debbie agreed to watch our kids and 3 days later we were driving to Vegas! Our swanky hotel pad. It was sooo nice. The bathroom was huge and we don't keep a TV in our bedroom so it was fun to watch TV in bed. It's the little things, right? They say Le Reve is one of the best shows in Vegas right now and no kidding! We also did a little shopping, ate some delicious things at the Wynn buffet and had an amazing weekend getaway! Monday, April 29, 2013. It was so nice to get together as a family and celebrate Derek coming home from his Brisbane, Australia mission. We had to get up at four am to meet him at the airport, but it was worth it! We all stood at the top of the stairs with a bunch of signs we had made. It was awesome. First time hugging mom. *sniff*. Saturday, November 2, 2013. My girls were so happy with their costumes this year! Penny with her adorable preschool class. Grandma Referee with little Dorothy, who stole her whistle. I remember I LOVED the Halloween parades when I was in elementary school. We found another Dorothy! This picture kills me, Violet looks so happy with her big twin! Later that evening, we continued our Halloween tradition of trick or treating with Lana and her kids, Max and Elsa. I love this picture! Those kids are adorable.
