Incubators -

If you are lucky enough to have a well-behaved airing cupboard which maintains the correct temperature, you may never need to build an incubator. However, if you don’t and you are going to pursue your hobby for a while then it is a good idea to make some kind of container which can be kept at a constant stable temperature. Your cultures will grow quickly and there is less chance of contamination. A simple solution is to get a large storage box (or polystyrene box) and place a heat mat.

Our mushroom growing bags come with filter strips or filter patches. The filters allow the growing mycelia to breathe while preventing other micro-organisms or flies entering. All our bags can be sealed before sterilisation using a heat sealer or with one of our bag clamps. All bags and clamps can withstand standard autoclave temperatures of 121. You can fill the bags with the substrate of your choice. These mushroom growing bags also make good humidity tents for smaller projects. 195 x 9 x 32 cm.

Golden Oysters on a MycoBox. Is a simple two-step kit for producing smaller quantities (30 – 70g) of mushrooms quickly and efficiently. No air pumps are needed to it is a very quiet and unobstrusive system that can be left on a bookshelf.
