I went to a quilt show in Reno last weekend. It was big although not quite as big as the ones Ive been to in California. I grabbed a few cards that had interesting products. There was a series of quilts all in a long row that depicted Route 66 from beginning to end. I didnt snap every one but here are some of them. 0160;...

Dec 31, 2014. Proper Way To Store a Necklace. And there was an inkling that perhaps Mom had "hidden them" in a secret place. Ugh. How many important things I've lost when I put them in hiding: Hiding them from myself it turns out. This was the catalyst toward a solution to "what to make for Mom for Christmas". Dec 17, 2014. Turn This Into That. I stayed true to the A Gilded Life style when decorating the acorns. Dec 7, 2014. I followed along with the tutorial almost exactly, except I modified the center ...

http://seahorseranch.blogspot.com/2015/10/symmetry.html
Oct 8, 2015. I'm taking an online workshop with. To help incorporate vintage elements into my jewelry. I'm thinking my style will observe a BD and AD influence (Before Deryn and After Deryn). Let's get right to it. The first week of class we are asked to create a symmetrical piece. I followed Deryn's design closely as I'm not yet ready to solo in this style. It became clear that I need my teachers guidance when I spent over an hour trying to find harmonious elements from my stash. Honestly?

Seahorse Ranch Life: Touched By An Angel
http://seahorseranch.blogspot.com/2015/09/touched-by-angel_28.html
Sep 28, 2015. Touched By An Angel. I wanted to look, touch and buy some good antique jewelry bits to incorporate into my jewelry. Centralia, WA. has an antiques district that was near. As I was paying, the shop owner reached under the counter and hauled out a $5 grab bag and asked if I was interested in old bits. Uh, yes, please. As soon as I checked into the hotel, can you guess what I did? Here is what I gleaned from the grab bag. Heck, I can use this to add a bit of old. I'm not through yet!

Seahorse Ranch Life: Where Have I Been?
http://seahorseranch.blogspot.com/2015/11/where-have-i-been.html
Nov 2, 2015. Where Have I Been? Where have I been? Learning and making jewelry, of course. I am halfway through Deryn Mentock's Alchemy of Objects online class. The fish necklace was a lot of fun to make and is a happy piece. The design idea was asymmetrical. I started with an enameled articulated fish from my stash. I used glass pearls, B'Sue Boutiques chain and connectors, with a small seahorse charm from Sis. The vintage beads and micro mosaic are a great combo! November 5, 2015 at 7:02 AM.

Jun 12, 2015. I wouldn't have guessed that I would favor Raku pottery over rhinestones for my jewelry making. Yet here I am using 2 of Harry Wood's cabochons; Harry's etsy store is oscarcrow. When these arrived in the mail, along with 2 others, I went into obsessive mode and had to design something around them. Here is my latest supplies from BSue. Oh, there is some dazzling stuff here to play with. And, there is another shipment from Harry on the way. Yahoo. Jun 1, 2015. Key to Happiness Necklace.

Nov 28, 2014. Brand New AGL for Spellbinders. At Spellbound we were lucky to be able to purchase some of the upcoming AGL for Spellbinder products. My purchases are pictured above. Though the 3 bezels on the bottom left were gifts in the swag bag. Nice! Notice that ivory colored locket in the middle? That is a reproduction of a Victorian mourning locket owned by Shea. This is a sample that was on display. Nov 26, 2014. I found the guy with the $1 trinket trays; my purchases seen above. $12 for all...
