Monday, March 17, 2008. Minapappu ( urad dal ) -2 cups (makes abt 20 vadas). Rice - 3 to 4 spoons. Onions - 1 ( finely chopped ). Green chillies - 3 ( finely chopped ). Kottimeera - finely chopped. Soak urad dal and rice overnight and grind it very finely adding salt(do not add water). Then add finely chopped onions, green chillies, black pepper, kottimeera to the ground batter and mix well. Heat oil to medium hot. Drop the vadas into hot oil and fry them until golden brown. Posted by Sunitha Kaipa.
