My Craft Evolution: Art in the Genes

http://mycraftevolution.blogspot.com/2013/04/art-in-genes.html

Monday, April 8, 2013. Art in the Genes. Some families have soccer games or dance recitals. We make stuff. Markers on the floor. Scrapes of paper everywhere. This is what they do. And the tape. don't get me started on the tape. My mom knits nearly every day and my dad is an architect and a painter so I'm pretty sure my genes play a roll in this. Right now it is a free-for-all but I'd like to plan some structured art activities and get some of their awesome artwork up on the wall. Enjoying the Small Things.

My Craft Evolution: Eggs and Easter Bunnies

http://mycraftevolution.blogspot.com/2013/04/eggs-and-easter-bunnies.html

Monday, April 1, 2013. Eggs and Easter Bunnies. Saturday we prepped for Easter by coloring eggs. After looking through all the wonderful possibilities on the internet the girls opted for the good old color with crayons and dunk method. My favorite part of the whole activity was that they shared a chair. Without a word the two snuggled up on the same seat, side by side, and decorated eggs. We had a mix of brown and white eggs. They came out speckled and beautiful, almost too pretty to eat. A Box of Paint.

My Craft Evolution: A Change of Plans

http://mycraftevolution.blogspot.com/2013/03/a-change-of-plans.html

Friday, March 29, 2013. A Change of Plans. We are seven days into our spring break with no exciting pictures to share. I purposefully planned on doing nothing. Well, cleaning out closets and stocking the freezer isn't nothing. But it does't make for interesting pictures to post. I thought the girls might be bored but they have been very happy to have time to just play. Baking Soda "Play Clay". 2 cups baking soda. 1 1/4 cup cold water. Heat on the stove for 10-15 minutes, add food coloring and cool. The c...

Its sort of a crossroads for me, and its all new, and very exciting, and extremely frightening. Where do I go from here? Links to this post.

Thank you for your sweet anniversary wishes. We had a wonderful day amongst the fairy gardens and brew pubs of McMenamin's Edgefield. I'm already looking forward to next year's visit. And the next and the next and the next. It was a pretty drippy day outside, but I did manage to catch a few shots of the grounds. Edgefield is truly a magical place. Yes, we spent quite a bit of time steeping. Morning, noon and night. Posted by melissa s. A quilt for a fish. Who could not love that squishy fishy face? I wis...

I remember learning about left brain/right brain dominance and I could never quite evaluate myself to pinpoint which side of the brain I used more. was I more creative or more analytical? A journey through my creative side. It's weird that photographers spend years or even a whole lifetime, trying to capture moments that added together, don't even amount to a couple of hours. James Lalropui Keivom. Tuesday, July 19, 2011. Ok, so I haven't been the best at keeping up with this blog. But, the good news is that it doesn't mean I haven't been persisting with my journey through my creative side! And old kitchen stuff. I'm a sucker for bowls and cake stands. Links to this post.

Saturday, December 7, 2013. Thanksgiving week marked one year since we moved into our house. We still have small projects left to do (like a mantel above that fireplace) but I can finally say the big projects have been completed.
