Wednesday 11th February Great Links Tor. Another dull day as we set out from High Down. To the stepping stones, not much rain for a while so the rivers are very low. Doe Tor. On the edge of but not in the Willsworthy firing range. We could hear the 'rat-a-tat' sound of the guns clearly. Across to the old tin mining hut with Sharp tor and Hare Tor in the distance. And then through the Girts to Dick's Well before going up to. Yes Tor and High Willhayes in the distance. Tuesday 10th February Beardown Tors.

Wednesday 28th July Bennett's Cross. A surprisingly cold start for the time of the year. We set out from Bennett's Cross and headed down through the old workings to Vitifer Mine. On a short distance to the remnants of the Golden Dagger Mine. Along the track which leads to Challacombe Down to look at the Mediaeval Village. There is this very sign on the road leading out from the small settlement - we took great care as we left! Along the ridge line to Hamel Down Cross. Just along from here is Hameldown Tor.

Wednesday 23rd July Yar Tor. It was 23C at the start and much the same all the way round - at least it was a fairly gentle walk. We parked just below the memorial to Capt Penny and headed up to Yar Tor. Looking back to Sharp Tor. And over to Corndon Tor. The view across to Fernworthy. Then down through the boggy bit, which very unusually was dry! On to the hamlet of Babeny. Along the road and. Then the track and out on to the edge of Riddon Ridge past these horses who were demanding attention. We started...

Starting from Combestone Tor on a sunny evening with a warm wind. Down past the idyllic Combestone Farm Alongside the leat with Yar Tor in the distance and then along the footpath towards Venford Reservoir. The view across the Dart Valley with Sharp Tor on the left. We followed the track down below the reservoir and then up to Bench Tor for the coffe stop. Along the long line of rocks that make up Bench Tor - past the friendly locals. Tuesday 16th June Hay Tor. We took the lower path out of Emsworthy.

Wednesday 18th June Hound Tor. Walking in the same area as last Wednesday but a different starting place and route. Very dull on the east side of the moor at the begining compared with the west but it got much brighter during the walk. Parking at Hound Tor car park up and around the tor to find these little calves and their very protective mothers. Down through the medieval village and down again to Becka Brook. Wednesday 11th Augut - Three Reservoirs. A longer drive today to the other side of the moor for a walk around the three reservoirs. A dull day at first but very humid. This is Trenchford reservoir. Around and down to Kennick reservoir where the water level is well down. The track which goes divides the reservoir into two. Up and around through the woods for a while. Looking back across Kennick reservoir with Hay Tor in the distance. Back down to the dam looking down Kennick reservoir. Not a pretty sight!
