Saturday, August 31, 2013. And it was absolutely lovely, simple and fun. Here are a few of the decorating ideas that I did for next to nothing. I made a simple cake and covered it in homemade fondant since I had no time to run to a bake and cake supply. It was so simple to make with marshmallows, one thing I always have on hand in my home. (You'll soon know I'm a roasted marshmallow junkie and roast them over my stove all the time for a quick snack.). Here is a link to a recipe just like the one I used.

Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Lavender Palmier Pastry Cookies. Optional- Dried or fresh Lavender. Hint- to make lavender Sugar, add some fresh chopped lavender, about 2 tbs, to two cups of sugar over night in an airtight container. The next day, food process the lavender leaves with the sugar until blended. Take both sides and fold into the middle. Take both of those sides and roll into the middle again. Flip the dough together and you'll see the shape of your palmier. Pepperidge farms puff pastry.

Tuesday, December 31, 2013. New Year Clock Cakes. A few years ago I made these simply adorable "Time Cupcakes" and had to share the most simplest of ideas for a New Years treat. These Southern Red Velvet Clock adorned cupcakes are perfect for the "Big countdown" and take minutes to decorate. So how did I make all these gorgeous time pieces you ask? Note Rice paper can dry out and become brittle so you do not want to let them sit around for days. That's my hubby when he was so little. Isn't he a cutie!

Saturday, April 12, 2014. Winnie the Pooh Shower. Today we had a very special baby boy to be shower celebration. The family was looking to do something similar to my daughter Erin's shower. Friday, September 13, 2013. Bread Pudding French Toast. Bread Pudding French Toast. You may ask what is so special about that? For this recipe, I'll give you my bread pudding recipe first. Generally I just use what ever I have in the refrigerator, sometimes putting fruit inside of it too. And then day two, is where you'll turn it into the recipe below. Super easy! It's two meals in one really. Day 1 Bread Pudding:. 1 tsp sugar to sprinkle. Serves two ( with left overs for day two. ). 1 cup fresh berries.
