Apr 10th, 2009. My house is clean (well except for the laundry room, office and the bedroom needs to be dusted and vacuumed)! My dogs are clean! I have Nolan's birthday presents (besides the bike and fountain pen I gave him money to buy) and our families are coming to visit! Easter candy is yummy but not helping my diet. I was hoping to try lose 20 pounds by the middle of May, but I gained last week, so that's not good. :/ The candy isn't helping. Oh well, all in moderation, right?

A New Era, A New Hope, A New President - mydestinedfate. Jan 21st, 2009. A New Era, A New Hope, A New President. Yesterday was a wonderful day. I am so glad I was able to watch President Barack Obama's inauguration and witness the change our country has needed. It is so interesting that I feel more hope today, President Obama's first full day in office, more hope than when he won the election back in November. Here's to the next 4 years (at least)! Luke Skywalker - mydestinedfate. Jul 31st, 2009. So, Luke is still with Dakota Dachshund Rescue (DDR). Nolan really enjoyed having only our 2 dogs around without Luke. So, when I was asked if I would take Luke back, I asked if there was any way we could switch fosters and told them the situation. Of course, they said, take a break and then bring Nolan to meet some of the dogs to see who works with him. I'm heartbroken. I miss that damn dog so much! August 5th, 2009 06:18 pm (UTC).

That weekend is the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Annual Convention and I am presenting research at a poster session with one of my professors. I'm really excited to go down there!
