Me and my dodgey pancreas. My personal experience about living with Type 1 Diabetes. Tuesday, 8 June 2010. You discover who your real friends are. A bit disappointed today. I'm doing my bit for diabetes uk, I've organised an 11 mile walk to raise money to donate to DUK. However, it's times like these that you realise who your real friends actually are! A few weeks back one of my friends. Dropped out because "Diabetes Uk doesn't mean enough to her". Great. Thanks! Drop out two three! Drop out four five!

To coincide with World diabetes day which is on the 14th November each year, ten year 7 pupils from St. Michael’s Middle School, Colehill, England are attempting to swim the equivalent length of the English Channel in their school swimming pool. Each of the girls will swim 202 lengths of the pool so collectively they will cover the 21 mile distance from Dover to Calais.
