Life as an Infertile. How can life be so cynical. The MTX jab is sort of working after 12 days. I just went in for blood test today and HCG dropped from 2400 to 760. I guess that’s a YAY? But I am not out of the woods yet, ectopic is not ruled out and I still need to be on constant monitoring. I will return next week for another round of blood work to see if betas drop further. Tired. But happy that this is sort of going in the right direction of the levels declining. April 15, 2016. 24 March –. I went i...

The cries I heard were the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard in my life. A feeling of relief washed over me and I started to weep. They were alive. They were breathing. The next few hours are a blur. I rememb...

SCREW YOU, STORK. Things my fertility clinic never told me. February 19, 2015. February 19, 2015. Listen up, Ladies. Because in the last two weeks I’ve learned something I wish I would’ve learned months ago. And the fact that I wish I would’ve learned it months ago makes me lucky. Because there are likely so many of you who would put themselves in the whish-I-would’ve-learned-about-this-years-ago category. So here’s where it all sorta starts:. Two weeks ago, I thought I was accidentally pregnant. And whe...

Our journey to conceive through fertility treatment. As it turned out, i was contracting for two days and didnt realise. After an outpatient appt back at the hospital a couple of days after i came home, i said i was extremely sore and couldn’t handle much more pain like that without some stronger pain relief she pretty much told me to suck it up. She said that i was growing and it would only get worse yet! Oww, last decision i would have chosen for myself! May 24, 2015. Neonatal intensive care unit.

SCREW YOU, STORK. TTW: Trying To Work. March 5, 2015. March 5, 2015. I’m starting to think that the hardest thing I’ve done in my 12-year advertising career has been to successfully conceal my reproductive issues. Then came a newer, calmer, 8-to-5 job offer, and I seized it. But with that change came the challenges of starting fresh, of needing to prove my worth, and of waiting the appropriate amount of time before pissing anybody off. But how or where would I even start? Unreliable or overly emotional&#...
