My Edible Yard - Eat Healthy, Promote Sustainability

My Edible Yard – Eat Healthy, Promote Sustainability. Grow What You Eat. Surgery for your Weight Loss. We are all about eating your own natural, healthy food so you can enjoy your time here as healthy as possible. Foods that are loaded with nutrients, and free of pesticides should be what most people have for the majority of their diet. Lately, it seems like there are fewer people who care about their health, and more about the enjoyment they receive from eating food. William Moss on Sustainable Gardening.

Wife in captivity: Peanut butter pasta with Thai chicken

http://wifeincaptivity.blogspot.com/2010/09/peanut-butter-pasta-with-thai-chicken.html

Expat Hausfrau looking for good clean fun in the german countryside! September 13, 2010. Peanut butter pasta with Thai chicken. AUGUST 25, 2010. After a fun shopping trip to Stavanger we stopped at. Dinner. This is my second visit to. And honestly this place makes me want to move to Stavanger! Well, I wanted something spicy that popped like the Mango Salmon salad I had last time. The daily special was creamed pasta with chicken. Snore! That sounded boring but my clever. Crushed chili pepper to taste.

Tacoma Urban Chicken Farming: Chicken Run

http://tacomachickens.blogspot.com/2011/03/chicken-run.html

Tuesday, March 22, 2011. Fellow Tacoma chicken enthusiast (and gardener extraordinaire) wildcelticrose. Posted this lovely video of her recent chicken roundup:. Our girls have been escaping their enclosure a lot lately, too - it must be all of this wonderful sunshine. Chickens aren't quite bright enough to systematically check a pen for weaknesses, but they're still surprisingly adept at the art of escape, especially when they sense that there's a good supply of worms in the veggie garden.

Wife in captivity: Seven sorts of cookies

http://wifeincaptivity.blogspot.com/2011/03/seven-sorts-of-cookies.html

Expat Hausfrau looking for good clean fun in the german countryside! March 1, 2011. Seven sorts of cookies. December 30, 2010. Any self-respecting housewife in Norway, past a certain age, has baked seven different cookies for Christmas. I only managed the one but can excuse myself because of traveling. Great Grandma Minnie’s Kringle. On the stove and always a tin of homemade cookies within reach. Other cookies like Rosettes. Many places on the internet with one glaring difference. After the cookies a...

Wife in captivity: Summer salad nr. 1 - Salmon Mango salad

http://wifeincaptivity.blogspot.com/2010/07/summer-salad-nr-1-salmon-mango-salad.html

Expat Hausfrau looking for good clean fun in the german countryside! July 14, 2010. Summer salad nr. 1 - Salmon Mango salad. Summer is all about salads in our house. Things that can be made ahead and picked out of the refrigerator when the day cools down and the appetite awakens. During a trip to Stavanger I ran across Déjà Vu Delikatesser. Where I had a lovely salad which I have tried to recreate here. Field salad - I used red leafed for a little color. Fresh mango - chunked. Fresh cantalope - chunked.

Wife in captivity: Summer salad nr. 4 - Steak salad

http://wifeincaptivity.blogspot.com/2010/07/summer-salad-nr-4-steak-salad.html

Expat Hausfrau looking for good clean fun in the german countryside! July 19, 2010. Summer salad nr. 4 - Steak salad. I had a lovely surf and turf salad when we were in Adenau to see the races at Nurburgrin. G and I was looking to recreate it. Unfortunately, I could not remember anything besides the lettuce, steak and one decorative scampi on top. So, here I am craving meat and lettuce and I have no recipe. A quick search on epicurious. Pretty lettuce, washed and crisp. Avocaodos, peeled and diced. Heeee...

Wife in captivity: March 2011

http://wifeincaptivity.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html

Expat Hausfrau looking for good clean fun in the german countryside! March 1, 2011. Stickey buns - countdown to lent. Since it is getting closer to Lent or Fastnacht we need to store up some energy to make it through to Easter. I have been craving good old-fashioned sticky buns like they serve after church in any basement of any Lutheran Church in the Midwest. I have not eaten a sticky bun since long before I moved to Norway, so to say it was 20 years ago is a safe estimate. Harvest Cinnamon roll recipe.

Wife in captivity: Norwegian Christmas dinner

http://wifeincaptivity.blogspot.com/2011/03/norwegian-christmas-dinner.html

Expat Hausfrau looking for good clean fun in the german countryside! March 1, 2011. What did you eat for dinner? A nice juicy turkey? Maybe a succulent glazed ham? Well we had salted, dried lamb. No really. As previously professed I was going to spice up the traditional family dinner with some hippy salad, but I chickened out. Not particularly ballsy of me but that’s the scoop. Here was our dinner – in it’s pre-cooked state. It’s simplicity is quite charming. Happy “romjul”* to you! It Ain't Meat, Babe.

myedibleworld | eating through my world one bite at a time

Eating through my world one bite at a time. Five O’Clock Steakhouse. November 11, 2013. Serving exquisite cuts of beef since 1948, Five O’Clock Steakhouse has become a staple in the milwaukee food scene. It got it’s name from having an alarm clock behind the restaurant that used to go off everyday at 5pm to alert patrons that they were serving up free drinks. This is all just part of a legend though. For dessert for the birthday boy we got a chocolate mouse cake that was on special. I also got some d...
