An active woman's positive experience with Essure and on being joyfully child free. Yup, the first thing I said when I woke up was, “Doctor, I can’t thank you enough”. Seriously, I am so relieved, so happy. I feel so complete knowing that I can’t (well, soon anyway) get pregnant. In a way, it’s a physical commitment to my family: my husband and me. A little later than most, but there was construction at the hospital, then Christmas, then I was in a show, and finally, my schedule and the hospital’s synced up. The doctor confirmed, that yes, the procedure has worked, and I am for all intents and purposes, sterile. I’m so happy! February 15, 2016. Realizing how easy my life is.
