The story of bringing our baby girl home. Sunday, January 11, 2015. 41 months since DTE! Yup, it's been 41 months since we sent our dossier to Ethiopia. If our wait was compared to an elephant's gestation period (which is 21 months), we would now have a 20-month-old baby elephant. That is one heck of a wait, folks. and we know it will be 100% worth it in the end! We are so excited to get the referral call. hopefully very soon! We are praying and waiting for you, sweet girl! The story of bringing our baby girl home. Wednesday, February 11, 2015. 42 months since DTE. Our dossier has been in Ethiopia for 42 months now. That is 3 years and 6 months. We don't have any exciting news right now. we continue to wait! Several families got little boy referrals in the last few weeks though, so that is encouraging! I just finished this painting. I have girly thoughts on my mind! We are ready your our little girl! February 12, 2015 at 4:05 PM. I really love the new painting!

The story of bringing our baby girl home. Saturday, April 12, 2014. 32 months waiting since DTE. It has been 32 months since we sent our dossier to Ethiopia! A lot of our paperwork is expiring, so now we are working on renewing everything that needs to be renewed so that we are ready to go as soon as we have a referral. Dear Lord, please be with our far-away daughter, whoever and wherever she is right now. Please keep her safe. Please surround her with people who love her and protect her.

The story of bringing our baby girl home. Thursday, July 17, 2014. 35 months since DTE. This month our documents have been in Ethiopia for 35 months. WOW! From the time we signed on with our adoption agency we have been waiting 40 months for our daughter. Since the paper chase takes different amounts of time for different families, everyone counts from the time their dossier was sent off though. Hence, we are at 35 months, and counting. On the bright side, we are that much closer to getting our referral.

The story of bringing our baby girl home. Saturday, December 13, 2014. It has been 40 months since our dossier was sent to Ethiopia! That's a long time to wait to get your kiddo, folks. That's one heck of a long time! Two families from our agency got their referral this week, which bumped us up 2 more spots on the wait list. We are getting SO CLOSE to it being our turn, and we rejoice with the families who got such great news! We continue to wait and pray for our little girl! Health of Ethiopian children.

He LOVES to be naked. He gets dressed every morning, and yet most days, he ends up naked at some point. Conversation that just happened:. Why in the world are you NAKED? Sean: "I'm a skeweton. They don't have clotheses.". Me: "Sean, it's winter. Skeletons wear clothes in the winter.". What on earth should I reply to that?

We went on a hike. We explored the ice caves. All of us together in the caves. Still in the cave. It was ICY cold in the ice caves. There were columns of ice and icicles inside. The boys climbed into Ben's hammock in the morning for a snuggle. Making silly faces together. The beautiful morning view from the hammocks.
