Del Uruguay, ubicado a 240 kmts. al este de la capital del país, Montevideo, y 28 kmts. de la capital departamental, Rocha. Enclavado sobre el Océano Atlántico en el Cabo Santa María, sus playas, con una extensión de aproximadamente 20 kmts, constituyen hoy por hoy su principal atractivo turístico. Se sentirá a gusto entre gente sencilla, que hará lo posible para que la pase muy bien.

Viernes, 28 de diciembre de 2007. Una noche que nos gusta a todos. Una vez más la Noche de las Luces reunió cientos de miles de personas en la rambla de Pocitos. Más de medio millón de uruguayos se congregaron en la zona delimitada entre Bulevar Artigas y Luis Alberto de Herrera, y desde la rambla hasta la línea que forman las calles Fructuoso Rivera, Libertad y Francisco Soca. A las 22 horas, tras finalizar el desfile, la atención se trasladó al cielo cuando estallaron los primeros fuegos artificiales.
