Raspberry and Mango Porridge Squares. My Food Baby is still being fed…. I promise. Wow so much food has been consumed, and thrown on the floor, since my last post, I feel a bit sheepish! We have had a crazy time at home with lots of completely un-food-related things going on coupled with a severely over-full iPhone which often point blank refuses to take pictures because it’s too full but also won’t let me upload and then delete them either (*pulls hair out! Ready for Miss Toddler. Eating all the cheese!

Raspberry and Mango Porridge Squares. Raspberry and Mango Porridge Squares. I still owe someone a recipe for something that I can no longer remember what it was for 😦 remind me if you do! So yesterday I went to the supermarket, picked up bag of rolled oats and got onto Google. The recipe I based my squares on was from http:/ www.liviaskitchen.co.uk. But I adapted it to accomodate what I had at home. Raspberry and Mango Porridge Squares. 3 1/3 cups of rolled oats. 225 ml soya milk. 115 ml maple syrup.

Raspberry and Mango Porridge Squares. My Food Baby with her Boon divided plate full of fruit, natural yoghurt and chia seeds. I am doing my best this is my mantra. Like most parents I feel the daily dose of guilt am I playing with My Food Baby enough, is she stimulated enough, having enough fun, cuddles, love, is she warm enough, is she too warm, is she tired, should I leave her to cry, should I comfort her? So it is down to me to make sure we don’t. Zucchini and mushroom muffins. I’m doing my best.

Raspberry and Mango Porridge Squares. This yummy vegetarian lasagna is great for the whole family. Mr Food Baby is a staunch meat eater and he loves this he actually said it as the best lasagna he had ever had! It’s nice and hearty for veggies, and My Food Baby gave it the ‘shove it in your mouth asap’ seal of approval. 4 tbsp canola oil. 2 medium brown onions diced. 1 generous teaspoon of crushed / lazy garlic. 1 small teaspoon of lazy chilli (this will not be spicy). 2 x 400g can of chopped tomatoes.

I wish I could come up with something more catchy but that’s all I got. Our ‘SPOT’. gabi digs the view. Wind whipping her hair around. Churrasco, actually, which is pretty much skirt steak (but much cheaper island side). I’m thinking though that it may be a challenge grilling today! I used this recipe from Marcela Valladolid.
