Grover Goings-on: July 2010
http://grovergoingson.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 30, 2010. San Juan Ranch Horse Sale. The annual San Juan Ranch Horse Sale was held this July. I don't often get to attend, but I was able to attend this year. The day before the sale, local cowboys compete in a roping competition. I don't know enough about loops and heading/heeling and horsemanship to really get into the roping competition, but I really love to watch my cowboys. It also started to downpour for a while . . .thank goodness Jensen had his slicker! Here are some other pics.

Grover Goings-on: One, two, BUCKLE my shoe
http://grovergoingson.blogspot.com/2010/11/one-two-buckle-my-shoe.html
Tuesday, November 9, 2010. One, two, BUCKLE my shoe. SO Some amazing ladies in the county put together a local gymkhana for the rodeo game enthusiastics around the county. For those of you who are wondering, the definition of gymkhana is: a meet at which riders and horses display a range of skills and aptitudes. BJ and the kids all participated. There were three meets, and the final meet was this past Saturday. (I wondered about a horse meet in November, but the weather was BEAUTIFUL! At the end, everyon...

Grover Goings-on: October 2010
http://grovergoingson.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Sunday, October 17, 2010. About a month ago, Preston got a call from a friend who works with the county tourism board. There was a company coming to shoot a commercial and needed 50 head of horses. She directed the company to JM Grover Enterprises, saying that we were probably the only people around who could round up that many horses. I am pretty sure Preston didn't get any sleep, because they started loading horses at 3:30. I think we pulled out of town at 4:30 to make the drive to Monument Valley.

Grover Goings-on: Project Runway
http://grovergoingson.blogspot.com/2011/11/project-runway.html
Friday, November 18, 2011. We were all at Grandma LouAnns. Brittany wanted to start a sewing project so they were sorting through some material. Jensen found a piece of plaid material that he liked. He thought he would make a vest out of it. It was just a square piece of fabric, but he knew if he just cut some holes for his arms, it would make a great vest. He didn't measure or anything, just started cutting. He didn't like it at ALL! Watch out project RUNWAY! Heaven knows I couldn't help them! D and V B...

Grover Goings-on: Frankenstein or a Mummy?
http://grovergoingson.blogspot.com/2010/11/frankenstein-or-mummy.html
Friday, November 5, 2010. Frankenstein or a Mummy? For Halloween, I told Jensen he should be either be. I would think that with stitches and a bunch of white gauze, both options would be great. Jensen didn't think so. I also would have thought that an accident invovling sharp instruments during the week of halloween would have taken place while we were carving pumpkins, but no, not at our house! Put in the stitches. For a seven year old, I think he is pretty DANG tough! She could tell I was stressed out ...

Sunday, April 25, 2010. Our (dam) cup runneth over . . . . Since I have lived here, there has always been a drought. The reservoirs are always low. It has been the story of our lives (especially since we are farmers! However, we were blessed with so much snow this past winter, that the dam is actually running over! The water was expected to go over the spillway on Wednesday, but I think it actually did on Friday. We are so excited. How to Dally 101. It was so fun to watch him! Saturday, April 24, 2010.

Tuesday, April 28, 2009. This past weekend was WICKED! I was able to go with my mom, sister, and sister-in-law to WICKED A new musical! I have wanted to see this show for a LONG time! We had a great visit in the car on the way to the show, and a great lunch! It was fun to spend time with the girls in my family. The show was fabulous - and some of the songs were even more powerful than I had imagined! Thanks girls for such a FUN day! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A and A Black. A and K Black. B and G Grover.

Grover Goings-on: August 2009
http://grovergoingson.blogspot.com/2009_08_01_archive.html
Saturday, August 29, 2009. So I am so relieved! Come to find out, Jensen's good friend, who is in the same class, had been taking Diet Pepsi to school for two days before the "incident". Apparently, his friend would take some cans of Diet Pepsi, and share with Jensen when they would go outside to play. Then after school, he would share some more cans with the boys (NO GIRLS! Friday, August 28, 2009. I asked him if he had his water bottle had leaked. He still had a funny look on his face. I opened...Jense...
