The Happy Life Plan: Breastfeeding Sucks
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2015/02/breastfeeding-sucks.html
Sunday, February 8, 2015. No pun intended. I had no idea that it was possible to absolutely hate and love something simultaneously. If I had had a free minute to write this last week, it would have been another doom and gloom post but - SPOILER ALERT - this tale has a happy ending. Or least a happy middle. Hopefully our breastfeeding saga is far from over. And hopefully it remains a happy tale. It just seemed unfair. Post-feeding snuggles are my favorite. February 9, 2015 at 8:17 AM. So at our weekly app...

The Happy Life Plan: January 2015
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Thursday, January 29, 2015. 1) The fucking bili blanket. I know there are much worse things that a new baby and new parents have to deal with, but the bili blanket sucked too. It was hard to hold him. It sucked to see him uncomfortable. It was tough to feed him on the blanket and when he was off the blanket, I felt like we had to rush through feedings to get him back on the lights quickly. I'm actually convinced that the hospital and the medical supply company are running some kind of scam. I never h...

Miles Yet to Travel: Twin life is crazy
http://milesyettotravel.blogspot.com/2015/02/twin-life-is-crazy.html
Monday, 16 February 2015. Twin life is crazy. We have all been home together for 2 weeks and 3 days. I can't believe that's it when I write it out, because it feels like much longer! But it's not all sunshine and lollipops. It's hard. It's really, freaking hard. We are on a 3hr schedule that looks something like this:. Bath, if it's bath day, i.e. they smell. Feed babies - BF one, bottle the other (H or one of our mom's does this), we bottle them both overnight though. Feeding takes a long. I cant imagin...

Monday, December 29, 2014. 37 weeks - THREE! 37 weeks (and 1 day). Baby is the size of a:. Winter melon. Baby E is considered early-term now! He's still practicing sucking, breathing, swallowing and things like that. He's probably between 6 and 7.5 lbs now (based on my last growth scan). Very tired, often irritable and usually uncomfortable. Fine - I'm just really excited! No change since last week. Nursing bras are totally amazing though. Best moment of the week:. Beer and a cold turkey hoagie - this wi...

The Happy Life Plan: April 2015
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 13, 2015. E is doing so well. He's a long and skinny little peanut, but he's growing really well. He was 7 pounds 2 ounces at birth and at 12 weeks, he was 11 pounds 12 ounces! He's always "talking" and laughing and lately he's been trying to eat everything that he can get his hands on. We all survived his first cold and his first trip on an airplane! We're all settling into a pretty good routine and things are much less stressful at home. E's least favorite things:. Im Ana. Im a 28 yea...

The Happy Life Plan: June 2015
http://thehappylifeplan.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 15, 2015. E was 13 lbs 12 oz at his 4 month checkup. Since we've started combo. Feeding/supplementing, he has definitely gained weight. I kind of want to take him in for a weight check to reassure myself that we're on the right track, but really there's no denying that he's doing well right now. I measured him last week and he's up to 27.5 inches - 96th percentile! Still coming in. It always looks different - blond, light brown, strawberry blond.how did I get a blond baby? Blue like his papa!

Miles Yet to Travel: July 2014
http://milesyettotravel.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Thursday, 31 July 2014. And I think my limes were trying to kill me this morning. I woke up at 6am to pee (kind of impressive, I'm usually up at 3-4am! I read that they should double in size in the coming week! So it makes sense to me that things need to stretch and move, but my IF brain got a little panicky for a bit there. Thanks to my fellow IVF dreamers for talking me through it 3. Babies are the size of:. So much cuter than prunes :). Fingers and toes aren't webbed anymore, that's a plus! Um, being ...
