http://hsdays.blogspot.com/2014/01/hardly-weekly-wrap-up.html
Saturday, January 25, 2014. Hardly a "Weekly" Wrap-Up. Sometimes, I wonder if I ran out of things to say. Or, maybe other things just became more important. Time might have been an issue. The fact is, I haven't written a blog post in nearly four months. Four months! So, what have we been up to? School. Co-op. Gymnastics. Homeschool Swim and Gym. Orchestra. This year is a total contrast compared to last year. So far, it's been mostly good. Art, Gym, and Home Ec. What's not to love? No doubt, I've left a l...

Homeschool Days: An Encouraging Word
http://hsdays.blogspot.com/2014/09/encouragement.html
Wednesday, September 10, 2014. Somebody needs to hear this today:. We always thank God for all of you and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3. The astonishing fact that we were prayed for in detail. By Paul, and others, so long ago gives me so much comfort and peace today. I pray it does the same for all who read this.

Homeschool Days: Lapbook - How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World
http://hsdays.blogspot.com/2011/04/lapbook-how-to-make-apple-pie-and-see.html
Saturday, April 9, 2011. Lapbook - How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World. We used two file folders for this lapbook because there was so much to put in it. The book lends itself so well to all areas of education which created a fun lapbook full of information. Below is the left of the inside of the lapbook. And this is the right of the inside. This little booklet came from Enchanted Learning. We attached it to the lapbook with a paper fastener. Also from Enchanted Learning. The box folder is made fr...

Homeschool Days: Lapbook - Grandfather's Journey
http://hsdays.blogspot.com/2011/04/lapbook-grandfathers-journey.html
Saturday, April 9, 2011. Lapbook - Grandfather's Journey. This is a simple lapbook made with two file folders. The yellow book titled "Duck's Journey" was written and illustrated by Emily. This is an accordian fold project that is glued to the lapbook. It pictures four living generations of our family. This is one of my favorite paintings that Emily has done. It was done with watercolor paints and is her version of a painting in the book. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile.

Homeschool Days: Not Yet Back to School
http://hsdays.blogspot.com/2014/08/not-yet-back-to-school.html
Sunday, August 24, 2014. Not Yet Back to School. Although most of the local schools, and many homeschoolers, have hit the books in their new school year, we have not. We aren't quite ready yet, for a number of reasons. 1 We just aren't ready to say goodbye to Summer. It seems to pay us such a short visit each year, so we want to extend it as long as possible! 3 Due to being away from home, I did not order some of our school books until we returned. No books, no school! Some are in transit now. We aren't ...

Homeschool Days: Science Review, Part 1
http://hsdays.blogspot.com/2014/03/science-review-part-1.html
Saturday, March 1, 2014. Science Review, Part 1. What a winter we've had, and it's not over yet! Another winter storm is predicted to hit this weekend. If it does, and conditions are right, I hope to go out and play in the snow with my family. I missed out on all the sledding due to illness, and as much as I ache for Spring, it is still Winter so I might as well enjoy it as much as possible. In Science, we've done lots of experiments mostly using two books: 100 Science Experiment. And The World of Science.
