taking a stand for education – Hometown: Hammondsport
https://myhometownhammondsport.com/2015/04/07/264
Little Town / Big Heart: About this Blog. My pulse in this small town. Taking a stand for education. Sometimes, parents must simply make the right choice and take a stand. My children will not take the NY State Common Core Assessment exams. They are officially opted out. Can you believe that none of that matters or is taken into account when our teachers and our schools are assessed and determined by the state to be effective or ineffective? In the meantime, our children will refuse these tests. Notify m...

winter’s comfort – Hometown: Hammondsport
https://myhometownhammondsport.com/2014/11/17/205
Little Town / Big Heart: About this Blog. My pulse in this small town. It has been months since my last blog post. Where did those longer, lingering days of spring, summer and fall go? It is unusual for me to have not fully absorbed those seasons, especially their lush and colors, but this time, they were here and gone.

snow day visitor – Hometown: Hammondsport

Little Town / Big Heart: About this Blog. My pulse in this small town. To live in a place where I just step outside and find myself amidst the most wondrous natural beauty… what a tremendous gift in this life! I’m certain my dad would truly enjoy seeing them out my window. Which brings me to these last couple of days. Our first snow day! February 2, 2015. February 3...
