Monday, August 31, 2009. It wasn’t long after we’d come to this new land that I discovered the other animals just weren’t the same as back home where I was born. They were bigger, some even larger than the moo animal I chased over the cliff. Some had horns, which scared me a bit, and some were just plain strange. I liked this new land. It was much more laid back and Franzi and Dave would go out of their way to take me to places where I could run around in the forests without the rope around my neck.

I suppose there is always a risk when a pastor airs his own dirty laundry for all to see, but hopefully there are lessons for both this pastor as well as for the congregation of which he is the under-shepherd. Everything began earlier in the week. All week I had been wrestling with my message on irresistible grace and kept sensing that there was something else I needed to address. Little things were discouraging me, but I pressed on. Then I WOKE up.
