The 1st 4000 footer – Mt. Osceola. We tackled our first 4000 footer in the White Mountains. We went up with a family friend and his two girls, wives and my little guy stayed at home… strictly a Father/Daughter weekend. Stayed at Osceola Vista Campground, beautiful campsite with great views. When we summited, Orea, the Osceola Mountain Fairy left us a note and a piece of hematite for each girl. The descent was rough, the younger girls ran out of gas. Lots of falls… and tears. Aliza is ready for anything.
