My Journey into Freemasonry!: September 2009
http://myjourneyintofreemasonry.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
My Journey into Freemasonry! From my first contact. Monday, September 21, 2009. Hurry up and wait, and how to wake the neighborhood dogs! Seems to be the most popular phrase, besides 'Take good men and make them better', or 'a system of morality veiled in allegory and illustrated by symbols'. It is now exactly 1 month away from my initiation. But instead of going on and on about how excited I am about joining I will let you all in on one of my hobbies. Pulse Jet Engines! Couldn't hear a word! Well the da...

My Journey into Freemasonry! From my first contact. Wednesday, October 21, 2009. Brother Trudeau, Mt. Zion #120. What a great night! It was incredibly moving and surreal! I was the first of 3 candidates to arrive last night and after meeting the few brothers that had arrived early, I had the opportunity to stand back and watch other men arrive, greeting each other with eyes full of respect and true friendship! Now to get my Obligation memorized! Monday, October 19, 2009. Been thinking about it all day!

My Journey into Freemasonry! From my first contact. Wednesday, June 17, 2009. Ok, its update time! Since my last entry, I met and recieved my petition from one of the local lodge members. I filled the petition out right away and handed it in in time to be presented in lodge before the summer break. My petition was in fact read and the Investagative Committee was formed and visited on Monday night! Never thought I would say this but, I wish summer was over already! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A Mid-Life Masons Blog. Sunday, May 2, 2010. The Great Flood of 2010. I am sorry for the lack of posts as of late, my Masonic travels have been curtailed by two events. The first was the great Rhode Island flood which flooded my basement and caused worse harm to some of my brothers. I live a mile from the "worlds first underwater mall", also known as the Warwick Mall, and I have never seen anything like it. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Warwick, RI, United States. Thomas Smith Webb was Grand Master of Rhode Island in 1813-1814 and is most known for authoring The Freemasons Monitor and his contributions to the York Rite. The visit had a great turnout and it was something to see a lot of those seats f...

A Mid-Life Masons Blog. Wednesday, January 20, 2010. Freemason's Hall in Sherlock Holmes Movie. I saw the new Sherlock Holmes movie last night and was intrigued to see that they used a very famous landmark for the opening scene. If you did not know, a google search for a talk on Sherlock Holmes being held in Rhode Island was the spring-board for my entry into the craft so I was rather excited to see the hall featured in the movie as well as being used for the London celebrity filled premiere. The highly ...

My journey into film | A film and art blog by Tim Schroyer
My journey into film. A film and art blog by Tim Schroyer. 9 January, 2017. The year ahead 2017. So I been thinking about what I want to accomplish year. This past year was not my been my strongest. I feel I failed in many ways. The film I am developing got put on hold, I was not committed to this blog like I should, I did not get my production company up and running and didn’t make much art. So I am not happy with myself. I am looking for an editor. I think it would benefit me greatly. 8 October, 2016.

My Journey into Freemasonry! From my first contact. Sunday, June 6, 2010. The Mystery of 7 Pershing Nevada! I recently won a neat peice of memorabelia Ebay: a Shriner Bobblehead or Nodder! A real nice vintage piece, complete with plaster head! The little fellow came with a bonus, Garrison style hat you can see below! Given the design of this hat, it seems to have some kind of 'Shriner-esqueness' about it. I have been in contact with the www.zelzahshrine.com/. Monday, May 17, 2010. Where to go from here?

Going to Hell - My Journey Into Hell
Over a decade ago, I had a major, life-changing experience, where it finally got through to me that if the vast majority of Christians and Christian denominations were correct, my three sons, most of my family members, and many of my friends were going to wind up in a demented horror house called Hell, where they would be tormented for all eternity. And I HAD to know, were they right? Going to Hell - My Journey Into Hell. We believe about God. I mean, let's be real. my faith for something as comparat...

My Journey Into Holland
My Journey Into Holland. This is about my journey into "Holland" and my experiences with my daughter, Elizabeth. Elizabeth has multiple disabilties - Dandy Walker Malformation, hepatic fibrosis, vison impairment, seizures, aspiration/swallowing issues, low tone and developmental delay - but she doesn't let that slow her down! We have had a pretty crazy journey, but it's been a learning experience and an absolutely wonderful ride. Saturday, July 21, 2012. We have a diagnosis. Wednesday, July 18, 2012.

June 18, 2012. As I thought about this more and more, two things flooded back to my mind that I read over the last few weeks. The first is from Anne Lamott’s new book. It is written as somewhat of a journal of her grandson’s first year of life. In one of the entries, she wants to communicate to her grandson the secret of life and she says this:. 8220;I’m not interested in crowd approval. And do you know why? John 5:40-42 (The Message). March 14, 2012. This reminds me of the Christmas candlelight services...
