http://myjumps.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
An online skydiving logbook. December 27, 2009. What we did on our christmas trip to New York. Arrival @ JFK in the evening. Taxi to our B&B in Brooklyn ( akwaaba. Check it out, it's good). Soulfood in neighbourhood restaurant and sleep. Lazy morning, great breakfast. Walk into Manhattan over Brooklyn Bridge. Check out the Xmas decoration at macy's. Basketbal game @ Madison Square. Dinner @ a small, really nice italian restaurant around the corner. Another lazy morning, another great breakfast.
My skydive blog: Breda Ballon Fiesta
http://myjumps.blogspot.com/2009/08/breda-ballon-fiesta.html
An online skydiving logbook. August 29, 2009. I had a great day saturday. First a few jumps in the morning, and in the afternoon we left for the hot air balloon festival in Breda. It took our Caravan about half an hour to fly to Breda. We had to spot 'manually' because the coordinates in our GPS didn't match what we saw (= were wrong). There was quiet a bit of wind (some 10 to 15 knots, my estimate) but some oldtimers on the load worked it out perfectly: 3 runs, everybody landed in. These area all the gr...
My skydive blog: Bhutan
http://myjumps.blogspot.com/2009/05/bhutan.html
An online skydiving logbook. May 7, 2009. I am on a non-skydiving holiday for the rest of this month, so I'll temporarily abuse this blog to write about my travels and trekking in the Himalaya, in the Buddhist kingdom of Bhutan. Tuesday morning, there was an early flight Brussels-Amsterdam, and then on to Delhi. I had a 3-seat row all to myself, so the long flight wasn't too awesome. Late night arrival, taxi, hotel, sleep, early start, and on to Kathmandu. Next day, that's today, an early start again....
My skydive blog: September 2008
http://myjumps.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
An online skydiving logbook. September 27, 2008. I like days like this. 2-way sit with Mario to begin the day. Hmmm, nice, OK :-) )! I exit facing the prop, no funnelling, oops, where did that 180° turn come from? Steady, control, push on my legs, nice, fly towards each other, slow down a bit, hey no backsliding please, cool, I could just touch his foot, beep beep, end of jump, Yahoo! I am thinking about something, it starts with the letter "J", it rhymes with "upiler". Any ideas? September 20, 2008.

Fear of Falling: I'm a Slacker
http://fear-o-falling.blogspot.com/2009/04/im-slacker.html
Plummeting toward the ground- formerly a recurring nightmare. Now that I've had a taste of skydiving, it's a dream come true. Monday, April 13, 2009. So it's been a while since I've updated this thing. Apparently the excitement of sharing every detail about every jump has worn off. Just because I haven't posted in a while, don't assume I haven't been jumping. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Boise, ID, United States. View my complete profile. Fugitives from the Law of Gravity. Why am I doing this?
Fear of Falling: Three posts, in under a week?!

Plummeting toward the ground- formerly a recurring nightmare. Now that I've had a taste of skydiving, it's a dream come true. Wednesday, September 9, 2009. Three posts, in under a week? So it has been a fairly busy week for jumping. This is my last week of relaxation before I have to start mentally preparing for my other job, so I'm soaking up as much fun at the DZ as I can get. There WAS another update! For some reason, I dont remember hearing about the sit-flying. Guess Im a bad friend. haha.

Saturday, June 25, 2011. It's not the story, the people, the technology, it's the team. I was directed to the blog of Amir Salihefendic. And i bounced into this gem. Finally, these are the operating principals of Pixar as quoted by Catmull:. It must be safe for people to tell the truth. Communication should not mirror the organizational structure. People and how they function is more important than ideas. Do not let success mask problems, do a deep assessment. Mix up creative and technical people.

cast42: December 2010
http://castfortwo.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, December 07, 2010. Bye bye battery of MacBook Pro. Today, I replaced for the second time the battery of my Macbook Pro. The battery had 560 reload cycles. Apple's documentation states that normally a battery should be able to deliver about 800 cycles before replacement is needed. I got my (now iconic) Macbook Pro. Or will I have a new Macbook Pro with a fixed battery by then? Maybe I have to recalibrate my battery. Posted by Lode Nachtergaele. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Follow @cast42 on Twitter.
cast42: Comparing power models for cycling
http://castfortwo.blogspot.com/2014/03/comparing-power-models-for-cycling.html
Saturday, March 22, 2014. Comparing power models for cycling. On January 23, 1984, Francesco Moser set a new Hour Record of 51.151km/h at altitude in Mexico City. What probably contributed to that success was the theory developed by Prof. Conconi. He theorized that heart rate could be correlated with perceived exertion in order to allow Moser to cycle at the absolute maximum of his capability. Ever since, training with a heart rate monitor became more and more popular. Enter the power meters. They me...
