Our Need-Greater Experiences In Trinidad, Guyana and Panama! Monday, October 8, 2012. Some thoughts on Panama. So it has been really crazy the last few weeks. We have been trying to get used to our new lives here in Panama. There is so much that is foreign to us and challenging. So many things I never realized I took for granted. For instance, not having hot water (which we experienced in Guyana also) but, even having water AT ALL! We have been in our new house we are renting for going on 3 weeks. If we ...

Our Need-Greater Experiences In Trinidad, Guyana and Panama! Monday, May 28, 2012. I've always had a tendency to procrastinate and writing on the blog since we returned to the US has sadly, fallen in that category. Brandon and I have discussed numerous times doing a final or closing thoughts post about our trip to Guyana. We have never sat down and formulated how we should write it though, because I guess you could say we've been distracted. Distracted in a very good way! Within a month we had determined...

http://batesfamilytravels.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Our Need-Greater Experiences In Trinidad, Guyana and Panama! Monday, September 17, 2012. Our new ADVENTURE has begun! We have arrived in Panama! It took a few days to recuperate from all the traveling and of course trying to adjust to the intense heat. Our dear friend Monica Gallagher came along with us to assist with the children and offered us the much needed luggage space. We just love her and as you will see in the next few posts of pictures, she is sooo much fun! After the Thursday Night Meeting.

Our Need-Greater Experiences In Trinidad, Guyana and Panama! Friday, January 27, 2012. Well, we have very mixed feelings about what took place today. Leaving Guyana was truly bitter-sweet. We felt very sad to leave our new friends who we felt like we had known for years and yet we were very excited about the next phase of our trip. Jace put it so cute, in a way only a child could, he said "I don't want to come back to Guyana! We should just stay in one place! She is soo right! There is no hot water in Gu...
