My 3 Silly Monkeys: Slip and Slide (June 13th)
http://my3sillymonkeys.blogspot.com/2011/07/slip-and-slide-june-13th.html
My 3 Silly Monkeys. Andrew, Tiffany, Natalie, Jack and Luke. Sunday, July 31, 2011. Slip and Slide (June 13th). While Sis was at soccer camp, we had mommy camp. We went to the pool Monday morning to discover it was closed. The boys were really disappointed, so we improvised. We set up the slipping slide going down the hill in the front yard. Anyone need a drink? Luke is super tricky! We moved from the slip and slide to a water balloon fight. It was great fun! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

My 3 Silly Monkeys: Memorial Weekend Trip to the Zoo (May 29th)

My 3 Silly Monkeys. Andrew, Tiffany, Natalie, Jack and Luke. Saturday, July 9, 2011. Memorial Weekend Trip to the Zoo (May 29th). Since Daddy hasn't ever been to the zoo with us, we decided we should take him. Luckily, MiMi was in town and she got to come too! The kids put on their hard hats and explored the kangaroo exhibit. Daddy helped the boys climb the termite mounds, but it didn't take long for them. To catch on. Soon everyone was at the top! National Championship" as Jack and Luke say.

My 3 Silly Monkeys: Soccer Camp (June 13th- 16th)

My 3 Silly Monkeys. Andrew, Tiffany, Natalie, Jack and Luke. Sunday, July 31, 2011. Soccer Camp (June 13th- 16th). Natalie went to soccer camp with a couple of her friends. Camp was from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. I was worried about her surviving the long, hot days, but she did great. Her favorite part was getting to eat in the college cafeteria. This is really ironic because she isn't a big eater! She ended up having a blast! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Jen Jen's 3 Ring Circus. It was a very.

The Scene from my Back Porch: June 2012
http://thescenefrommybackporch.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Back in February, we told my parents that we wanted to take the kids to Carlsbad Caverns, and we wanted to take them with us. My dad was excited (I get my cavern obsession from him. I'm trying to pass it on to my kids.). My mom said, "But Jackson and I want to go to Disney World.". This is a HUGE plus for families with kids. The best part though, is there is soooo much to do that does not have a height requirement. This encounter led to my absolute favorite picture of the whole trip. The DW photograp...

The Great Balloon Race. First, on a completely unrelated note: Boy is it HOT! Like, miserably hot. Crazy hot. If you're reading this on the regular site, you'll notice a different background- the name is "Sun Dried." The didn't have anything called "Desert Wasteland." :). Ok Now that I got that out of my system. Last week my sister Debbie asked if we would be interested in going with her, Eli, and Joe to the Great East Texas Balloon Race in Longview. It went something like this:. We would LOVE to do that!

Jackson graduated from Kindergarten on Thursday. His behavior before school just showed me how like his father he truly is. He came in our room around 6:15 wanting to know if he was late for school, because "I can't be late for graduation.". For the record, I think he's only been late like twice. Maybe three times. Almost late, maybe. But I prefer to call that "right on time." We're "right on time" a LOT. But rarely late.). And this kid is a reader now! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

The Scene from my Back Porch: Where has my baby boy gone???
http://thescenefrommybackporch.blogspot.com/2013/04/where-has-my-baby-boy-gone.html
Where has my baby boy gone? Jackson turns seven today, and I'm not sure how that happens, since just yesterday I was staring at this sweet little face. I look at these pictures and am instantly transported back to 2006. But then I see pictures like this one and remember how BIG I thought that kid was! When he started pre-school, his backpack was almost as big as he was, but by the time he went to kindergarten it fit him perfectly. He has fewer teeth but more words. He's learned to read! I'm a wife and a ...

What a year she's had! When Sadie started Sunshine Friends this year as "the big sister," it was the best thing that ever happened to her. She and Jackson like each other sooo much more than they used to now that they have a little time away from each other each day. And she just continues to grow and change and become such a big kid. Sadie got to play softball for the first time, and she did great. It was sassy and cute and perfect for her. She loved it. Keep your fingers crossed! Christmas this year wa...

The Scene from my Back Porch: Easter 2013
http://thescenefrommybackporch.blogspot.com/2013/03/easter-2013.html
Easter is always an exciting day at our house. Our kids look forward to the Easter bunny's visit (Jackson informed me he was pretty sure there was no Easter bunny, but didn't elaborate. Hedging his bets, I suppose.) I'm happier now that they know the real reason for celebration. Seeing a risen Savior through the unwavering faith of a five year old is the best way to celebrate. We found a cute Cinderella costume at Target (although I wouldn't recommend the costume we got, it was great in theory.removable long skirt? Except the short skirt was super short and the long skirt never attached just right. Oh well. Lesson learned). She still looked beautiful (I think 90% of that was because she loves loves loves being a princess.). We wore the costume to school but didn't do the hair and makeup and such. It was so much fun and way less stressful than downtown. Baby Girl Turns 2. This ...
