Sunday, May 3, 2015. A recap of April. Spring is here and we're growing so much! I have so many "reading machines" in my classroom now! Here is a recap of what happened with a Team Dees during April. They love going to music and getting to perform! They had a blast at The Wonder Place! We planted seeds and having been growing caterpillars. Always a fun time! We had a Safety Twon and learned a lot of important safety tips! We made promises to help keep our Earth clean for Earth Day. Welcome to Team Dees!

Saturday, February 21, 2015. Cold days 107 and 108. Although this was a very short week, we psked a lot of learning in to those two quick days! Welearned a lot about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln! It looks like during our days off, some of my cuties got crafty while others played First in Math! I have been teaching for 11 years. I spent the first seven in 3rd grade but I have found my love in Kindergarten! I couldn't be more excited about being with your kids either! I've been happily married to my high school sweetheart, Drew, for 11 years this October and am a proud momma to the most wonderful kids (Mary Elizabeth, 7, and Benjamin, 5). Tuesday, March 31, 2015. I was so happy to see all of my sweet Kinders yesterday! It sounds like they all had an awesome breakand they were all so excited to tell me about alloftheir adventures! Lucy L was so excited to tell usabout some tadpoles that she caught. Luckily, her mom had a picture to send us so she could explain what tadpoles are! Mrs Jenkins read this cute book to us and helped us see different objects in pictures of clouds. I love this lesson! I love the talent! These kids are so awesome!

Monday, January 27, 2014. First thing this morning, we learned that we got Retro Cafe AGAIN! I have to admit that it brought a year to my eyes when we saw this man come in with our tags! Mariana was our teacher today and did a "fantabulous" job of fixing up our sentence! I introduced them to "op" words today so we worked on finding "og" and "op" words. Friday, February 28, 2014. I forgot to snap a pic of our art student yesterday, so Macy's mom sent this to me. Way to go Macy! These two cuties brought in a BUNCH of change to help fill our box this morning! The box got heavy! In phonics, we reviewed word families and then worked on spelling the pictures by sounding them out.
