If you find yourself stranded in the beautiful southwest, close your eyes, spin around three times and pray to whatever god or spiritual body you hold sway with that you are in Hawthorne, NV. In all of my travels, I designate Hawthorne as the best town in the southwest to get stranded in. I wouldn’t recommend climbing it for a closer look. Do you need help?

The material ‘COB’ is made of 4 important materials, from the earth…. 8211; with a clay content of between 15 and 25%. 8211; added to the mix if there is not much in the earth you are using, or that is freely available. Added sand should be course, like river sand, NOT fine white or beach sand. The more surfaces it has to each grain, the better for bonding and strenght. A highlight from today was watching the kids navigate a muddy hill after I warned them they might not like it.
