The World According to Carp. Friday, April 18, 2008. I woke up about 5:30 this morning to noise and shaking and figured it was an earthquake. I live in Oregon, you're thinking, so big fat deal. The World According to Carp. Saturday, May 31, 2008. Headed in the right direction. Michael's dad and stepmom, John and Janet, graciously did pretty much all the work. They own a numnber of properties and are old hat at kicking out jobs like this. Next up is assembling the IKEA furniture, hanging stuff on the walls and hemming a pair of curtains left over from our Albuquerque place that will give the room a spot of color. The World According to Carp. Saturday, October 04, 2008. Lenore had her first trip to the zoo this week. We wanted to see the baby elephant, Sam, and the baby Visayan warty pigs. You can't tell from the photo, but Lenore was dressed for the occasion in a John Lennon onesie with elephants, rhinos and giraffes. And the receiving blanket (which was mine as a baby! In Harrodsburg, Ky., recently with a couple of friends.
