"Laurger" Than Life: August 2014
http://laurgerthanlife.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 28, 2014. Wrapping Up Summer and the First Day of School. We wrapped up the summer by going on one last camping trip with the Smith family. The boys loved it because we set up a shooting range and they got to shoot the BB guns. Jon, Heather, and Tripp also came to town to celebrate Tripp's birthday. Tripp had a pool party. Everyone had a blast! Beck gives it a thumbs up! Tripp is the most expressive little kid and was genuinely excited about every single present, no matter how small.

"Laurger" Than Life: May 2014
http://laurgerthanlife.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 27, 2014. Owen is officially a preschool graduate. He had a cute little program where they sang all of their songs. Here's a little highlight reel from the program. Wednesday, May 21, 2014. California Dreamin' (pt. 2). One of the highlights of the trip was the day we got to spend with Ashley, Kyle, Caleb, and Trey. We ate lunch, talked, swam, ate, and then ate some more. It was so much fun to just be able to hang out with them and especially to meet baby Trey for the first time. He was not s...

"Laurger" Than Life: December 2014
http://laurgerthanlife.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Friday, December 19, 2014. We have been so busy with all of our different holiday celebrations going on. The weekend before Thanksgiving, we went to Corner Canyon High School and saw their production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. As we were walking into the school, we met one of the members of the cast. He was gracious enough to pause for a picture. It was a wonderful show and Owen and Beck have been singing, "Go, Go, Go Joseph" ever since. Caron and Heather taking a break. Beck got hu...

"Laurger" Than Life: June 2014
http://laurgerthanlife.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 23, 2014. This is the Place. This is the Place is one of our favorite field trips that we do all summer. The kids get such a great sense of the history of the state and it is just plain fun. Brigham and Joseph welcoming us to the park. Playing in the tiny village. Petting "Bones" at the petting zoo. As soon as I snapped this picture, he licked Beck with his huge tongue and slimed his whole arm. Owen on "Honey.". Beck on "Banjo.". Then it was time to do some chores. They did laundry,. Beck on...

"Laurger" Than Life: Backup for a Minute
http://laurgerthanlife.blogspot.com/2015/07/backup-for-minute.html
Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Backup for a Minute. It has been so crazy around here that I need to go back a few weeks to the start of summer. We decided to get a season pass to Lagoon this year. We enlisted Jackson to be our fourth so we wouldn't have an odd number and headed out for the day. Owen was so excited because this year he gets to go on more of the big rides.especially Wicked! He couldn't wait to try them all out. He was quickly traumatized by Spider.not a fan. Owen finished up his soccer season.

"Laurger" Than Life: January 2015
http://laurgerthanlife.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Last weekend, I took the boys up Little Cottonwood for some snowshoeing. I was afraid it would end up just being a hike because of the lack of snow, but we did find enough snow there that we were glad we had our snowshoes. I love spending time with my little boys. It was absolutely beautiful! I had so much fun and can't wait to go again if it ever snows some more! Beck loved going off the trail and searching for scenic stops. Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Me and my cute boys. And o...

"Laurger" Than Life: Summer Is Winding Down
http://laurgerthanlife.blogspot.com/2015/08/summer-is-winding-down.html
Friday, August 7, 2015. Summer Is Winding Down. As the summer is winding down, it's time to reflect back and figure out what I loved about this summer. The boys and I have made this our summer of hiking. We have gone on a different hike every week. Originally, we were going to try and do Mount Olympus by the end of the summer, but we quickly realized that Owen is just not quite ready for that. Maybe next year. We found the Ghost Falls up Corner Canyon. Finally, we did Bell Canyon. Again, a piece of cake&...

"Laurger" Than Life: June 2015
http://laurgerthanlife.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 29, 2015. Yellowstone (pt. 3). Right below our house was the Snake River, so of course we had to go fishing. The fish were biting like crazy! Dustin found a very affectionate fish. Owen caught one fish with Dustin's help and one fish completely on his own. I caught four fish! I have never understood the appeal of fishing, but that's probably because I've never caught anything before. Fishing is fun when you actually catch some fish! Just hanging with the ladies. They have their game faces on!

Thursday, September 25, 2014. Beck Has Hit Double Digits! Beck is finally 10! We started the celebration last week with a family picnic at the park where we also celebrated Caron's birthday. For Beck's birthday, we started out the morning with crepes and presents. He got a new DS. And a new bow and arrow set. We took the boys to see Maleficent in the afternoon. And we finished off the day with dinner at Tsunami with the Hansons. Beck and Scott shared a huge plate of nigiri. Owen and I shared some gyoza.

"Laurger" Than Life: July 2014
http://laurgerthanlife.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 28, 2014. Every summer, the Hansons graciously invite us up to their cabin at Bear Lake. It is, by far, one of our favorite weekends of the whole year. The kids love to play in the water and hang out on the boat with their buddies. This was Owen's second time going on the tube, and, even though he had to be bribed to do it, he ended up loving it! It'll be a while before he dares to do it without Scott right there to hold him on though. Owen and Kyle playing catch. Let the countdown begin!
