Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Painting and Word Crumbs 10/21/14. I finished the above painting over the weekend. It began as something else completely; intended as part of a bigger project that never came to fruition. It's been sitting in a corner until I picked it up while cleaning. The figures emerged out of the background and once I saw them there I needed to tend to them. When she lets you in. The painting is on a piece of maple. I used Dorland's wax medium to seal the piece. Tuesday, December 30, 2014. I've Gone 'Over The Edge'. Curious Bundle Mixed Media Journal. This is the cover. The entire length is covered in selvage edges. It's 53" long. I used the leftovers from the edges that were too long and had to be trimmed to create the fringe along with random bits of fabric I always have tossed around me as I sew. The Way I See It. Apr 27, 2013. Last weekend was our first show of the season. It was a small, cut-down-the-costs, show-off-the-trailer, no ribbons kind of show. It was amazingly sunny out- and just as COLD! We spent the full day outside- due to some. Slow judges- and came home sunburned and windburned! The first show is always kind of tough. Both the ponies. The Way I See It. Jul 4, 2013. Summer Daze, with side of rain. The summer is flying by. It's amazing how the weeks just disappear.This time last year, we were in Maine, enjoying a much cooler summer.
