When I got done with him, I’d go after my kids and family, and try to help them understand that I am miserable; I’d swing that wand around enough that they could see that both of us–my husband. My Life on the Inside. In the closet, peering out through a cracked door . . . July 10, 2012. Why, when I make my list of coming out pros and cons, do I ignore the pros and obsess over the cons? I could finally be myself. I would have a chance at a loving relationship. My husband would have a chance at a loving relationship. I wouldn’t be emotionally alone. I could at least hope for physical contact, to hold and be held, to finally relax into someone. My stress level would decrease about a million percent.
