My life on the "M" list. Monday, September 1, 2014. We have been in our new house for one month, today! When we started the process of buying this house, Brad's brother asked me, "Would you have bought this house if it was the first house you looked at? I didn't have to think about it at all."no! But nearly 3 months after deciding to buy it, I really feel we are where the Lord wants us to be. So why wouldn't we have picked this house in the very beginning? Did we really settle when we bought this house?

We haven't had any bites yet. I know a week isn't long but I am already discouraged. I just don't see why everyone doesn't love our house as much as I do! I am also discouraged about our house hunting in NC. I'm trying to apply the same logic I have with selling our house but it isn't working! I'm trying to just trust Go...

My life on the "M" list. Thursday, July 31, 2014. One year, again. Tomorrow is a big day for us. I hope I am not jumping the gun in blogging about it just 12 hours early. But, as you know, things have a way of going the opposite as we want them to so I'm still not convinced the plan won't change before tomorrow. Anyway, if you had told me it would take us a whole year from the day we put our house on the market to get to the closing of our new house, I would have said, "forget this! The love of my life!

Then I think of all the military families I know who spend sometimes a year at a time away from a spouse and wonder what I'm complaining about! Anyway, while we are stuck waiting, we are enjoying the things of summer. I have been letting the kids stay up until 10 so I have been enjoying sleeping in. There have been a couple mornings I didn't wake IP until 9! So far, so fun! After 17 years ...

My life on the "M" list. Saturday, February 15, 2014. Well, house hunting is still going (or not going) the same. It is so hard! Our list of 'don't wants' is not long but complicated for the Charlotte area, apparently. We are getting quite discouraging and beginning to wonder if we will ever find anything. At least 1 acre lot. Wooded (we don't want an acre of grass to cut). Schools with at least 80% white students. Within half an hour or so commute to CHarlotte. That doesn't seem to complicated right?
