The Long Family Log: April 2011
http://alaskalongs.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
The Long Family Log. Saturday, April 30, 2011. Hawaiian Vacation Take 2. More thoughts on the island of Hawai'i - the flowers there are just amazing. I liked the lava - but there's a lot of it to see. You just look and look and look, and hey - there's more lava! The next day we hit Oahu. I have been there a couple of times, and John had been there before too, and we haven't been that impressed by it. I mean, come on now, it's HAWAII, right? How bad could it be? We spent some time just tooling around the ...

The Long Family Log: August 2010
http://alaskalongs.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
The Long Family Log. Wednesday, August 18, 2010. Canada and Alaska vs. White Fang.part 3. The third and final (almost) post about our wonderful trip. Seriously, this was a great trip - and I didn't. Even have to fly anywhere! Friday morning we got up and headed to Claim #6 where John and Dan panned for gold and Stacey and I went for a walk. I felt like a new woman - clean hair two nights in a row and a bed to sleep in! What a bummer. I guess that means I'll have to do more traveling! After our fun with s...

Tales from the Thomas House: Snow Day and Girls Night Out
http://thomas4pack.blogspot.com/2008/12/snow-day-and-girls-night-out.html
Monday, December 29, 2008. Snow Day and Girls Night Out. A couple of weeks ago we got a few inches of snow. Kaitlynn and I took advantage of it. We went out to do some sledding and snow angels. Later on that evening Kaitlynn and I went to check out the Botanical Gardens Winter a Glow. It was a girls nite out! It was nice to be able to walk around and hang out together. She stopped to say hi. To santa and see his raindeer. The Thomas 4 pack. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Our Friends That We Follow.

The Long Family Log: Three Things
http://alaskalongs.blogspot.com/2011/03/three-things.html
The Long Family Log. Wednesday, March 30, 2011. From the beginning of our marriage, I've asked John to play a game I like to call "Three Things." When we play, we both think of three things that we like about the other and we try not to repeat them. If you've ever read Gary Chapman's book "The Five Love Languages" you are probably recognizing that my love language is words of affirmation. My game is obviously Biblical. Not only does Prov. 30 mention three things, but it increases to four things. That are...

The Long Family Log: February 2010
http://alaskalongs.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
The Long Family Log. Saturday, February 27, 2010. I just had the most fun day with my friend, Christan. We are busy shoving as much time as possible into the next few weeks since her family will be moving to the lower 48 in May or June. I will miss her terribly, and will really miss watching her sweet little girls grow up, and John will miss her husband - his favorite nerdy home school friend! Then after lunch we saw Chicago - the Musical! Friday, February 26, 2010. John left last night to head to Cantwe...

The Long Family Log: April 2010
http://alaskalongs.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
The Long Family Log. Monday, April 26, 2010. One of those moods. Ever get in a 'mood' that you can't put your finger on? You're not really sad, but not happy; not content, but not discontent; not tired, but not really bright and shiny.etc. I'm there. Can't really label what the feeling is, but just sort of blah. Sunday, after church, my friend and I did some shopping and hung out some. Then of course I watched Amazing Race. My cowboys are still in it - maybe they'll win Maggie! Wouldn't that be the best?
