Adoption Blog. A family consisting of two parents that are educators with 3 daughters and a son. Alex is 17 (he was adopted when he was 16 from Ukraine), Yana is 13 (she was adopted at 12 from Ukraine), Lily is 6, and Elliot is 4. This is my mom-story, but more than that, it is my God's story. My journey walking with the Lord and raising 4 kids. It's not always pretty, or well written but it is real life. Enjoy.

Saturday, August 30, 2014. Come, Follow Me! Kate is teaching Sunday school in this lesson! Huge, huge, huge for this girl! This is a lesson we have in our program at church (the Promiseland Curriculum from Willowcreek.fabulous.) Jesus calls the 12 disciples. We do use dolls. We tried to find boy dolls when we first began the curriculum. Don't google "boy dolls" it does not end well! I knew right away when I went in the bedroom what Kate had set up. What a treasure for me to see it alive in my own home.

So of course we decide it is a great idea to stay up until 2am. Watching Netflix (Kim is up till 4) and sleep in the next day. We are awoken by the woman we are staying with "are you guys getting up soon? She asks. We groggily open our eyes and ask what time it is, she laughingly replies 1pm. Because that's was the afternoon in California.
