Fiberarts: Fall 2011
http://karensfiberarts.blogspot.com/2011/10/fall-2011.html
Sunday, October 23, 2011. Here are Matthew and Lori at the Ghost Train event. We rode in the cab, thanks to my husband, who volunteers driving the steam locomotive on weekends! This is the purple/pink wool dyed last fall, picked and ready to go to the the fiber mill. The plan is to blend the two together, and see what comes back. More picked wool dyed with the color Cypress. White wool yarn hand painted a few weeks ago. Hope to make some kids socks or hats out of this, very colorful and cheerful. Http:/ ...

Fiberarts: Back at it
http://karensfiberarts.blogspot.com/2012/06/back-at-it.html
Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Here are two top down raglan baby sweaters I ended up making for my friend's twin grandbabies. They needed to be gender neutral and this is what I found, the yarn is Plymouth Encore Colorspun. Nice work, Karen! Cant wait to see more. Wednesday, June 20, 2012. Queen of the Unfinished Projects...: August 2014
http://queenoftheunfinishedprojects.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html
Queen of the Unfinished Projects. Friday, August 29, 2014. Camp Loopy Challenge Results. S Camp Loopy Challenge 3. I didn't think I was going to make it, honestly. I thought I was so far behind that there was no hope. I was making pretty good progress in the beginning. You might remember this picture:. This was taken when there were approximately 55ish rows finished. I was very happy with progress and with the look of it. And then. That's when I had to frog it. I think this was about 75 rows or so. Then ...

Fiberarts: Wool, wool, everywhere
http://karensfiberarts.blogspot.com/2012/10/wool-wool-everywhere.html
Sunday, October 7, 2012. Wool, wool, everywhere. This is the raspberry fleece just back from the fiber mill, Stonehedge. It was mixed with a darker purple and some of the wool ended up a pale rose color, all blended together at the mill. It will probably turn out a heathery color, and there is a pound and a quarter,so that should be enough to make several small projects. Monday, October 08, 2012. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Fiberarts: Of all things, a dog sweater?
http://karensfiberarts.blogspot.com/2013/01/of-all-things-dog-sweater.html
Tuesday, January 8, 2013. Of all things, a dog sweater? This is the Biscuits and Bones pattern on Ravelry. First started the large one in the round for Noel, but got confused by the pattern. Ripped it out and started over flat as the directions have you do, and with the xs size to get the hang of the pattern. I am more confident about making the larger one, now and am really enjoying the textures and cables. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed. 365 Days with the 330 Pound Woman.

Fiberarts: Some placemats
http://karensfiberarts.blogspot.com/2013/01/some-placemats.html
Friday, January 4, 2013. Just finished these place mats yesterday. It has been an eventful project. First I tried to make 4 place mats side by side, out of t-shirts to use up the last of the warp. The left side got tangled and snarled and I didn't have the patience to mess with it. So it was taken off and the loom rewarped for the last two place mats. That went well, for once and then I realized that I didn't have enough material to finish them! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Crazy as a Loom. Copper...

Fiberarts: what I have been up to lately ( pictures coming later)
http://karensfiberarts.blogspot.com/2011/12/what-i-have-been-up-to-lately-pictures.html
Saturday, December 31, 2011. What I have been up to lately ( pictures coming later). This fall has gone by so quickly! I have been working a lot as a home health aide, and a CENA also for home care and hospice, filling in when the regulars have days off. It is going well, but working every other weekend is something I will have to get used to. Am working on some coopworth now that is practically spinning itself, it's so easy to spin. We had lots of fun with our Grandson this Christmas, he had fun opening...

Fiberarts: Getting some spinning done, anyways
http://karensfiberarts.blogspot.com/2012/09/getting-some-spinning-done-anyways.html
Sunday, September 23, 2012. Getting some spinning done, anyways. Now that the cool weather is here, it is time to start working with wool again. We had a very nice, warm summer, but fall is here, along with some sleet and lots of rain. This is a Finn/Rambouillet cross roving that I just finished. I plan to make these mittens from it, if the gauge works up right. http:/ dailyskein.wordpress.com/2008/11/25/cruiser/. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). FEEDJIT Live Traffic Feed. Crazy as a Loom.
