Meat Free Mom: Persimmon, Caper, and Cherry Tomato Bruschetta
http://meatfreemom.blogspot.com/2014/12/persimmon-caper-and-cherry-tomato.html
Monday, December 8, 2014. Persimmon, Caper, and Cherry Tomato Bruschetta. On Instagram and Facebook. Dinner was big last night because my mother-in-law was visiting from out of state after being on a business trip and I figured a great home cooked meal would be good. I knew I was making spaghetti with dill and lemon pesto in an avocado base because I came up with that off the top of my head and had to make it into reality. When my husband asked where I got the idea, I said, "I didn't follow a recipe or a...

Thursday, August 1, 2013. Kale Chips with doTERRA Essential Oils. I make mine mostly like this recipe, but I cook them in the dehydrator. I love that there is no salt, and the kids eat them all up! The recipe is from the Summer issue of doTERRA Living Magazine. Mushroom Jerky (or Bacon? 2-3 garlic cloves, minced. 1/2 inch of ginger knob, minced. 2 Tbsp vegan worchestershire (whichever brand you like, I have tried several and like them all). 2 Tbsp soy sauce (or Braggs Liquid Aminos). 1 Tbsp sesame oil.

Monday, September 22, 2014. I am in love with the Buddha Bowl trend! My Pinterest account is filled with bowls and delight, and my kitchen is too! The typical equation for a Buddha bowl is a grain, a green, a protein, a dressing, and other fantasticalness to your liking. Last night I made quinoa (I have been making it in my rice cooker and loving the results). I do one cup dry (washed) and then two cups water and an Edward and Son's Not Chicken bouillon cube. Try it out, and check out my Pinteres.

Wednesday, December 17, 2014. Vegan Cookie Press Cookies. I have one of those cool Pampered Chef cookie presses that I got at a yard sale and makes all manner of adorably shaped cookies, but most of the recipes you see online aren't vegan. I knew I had used it before and found a vegan recipe, but there were a few online and I hadn't bookmarked my winner and couldn't remember what I had done. Bummer! They had this awesome tip to press directly onto your cookie sheet, not use parchment paper, because you w...

Wednesday, July 30, 2014. But What DO Vegans Eat? I was once at this breastfeeding support group, and this woman started talking to me and my veganism came up (I know what you are thinking, I probably introduced myself that way). I only do that when I'm on the news though, usually. Okay, that time I lead with "I'm a vegan! But it got me on the news. Anyway, this other mom says to me, "But how do you get your daughter to eat vegetables? This is how you would make a vegan version of that:. It's not about p...

Remember those amazing tins of popcorn with all the different flavors that came out for Christmas so that you could just sit and snack and watch Elf nonstop for days? I want a vegan version of that. Earth Balance has already created great versions of classic and delicious flavors we love with even better tastes, they just need to put them in a tin. I guess I could put them in a tin. Have you tried these? What did you think?
