Marathon Mommy: Meet the Mommies
http://marathonmommies.blogspot.com/2008/01/meet-mommies.html
Tuesday, January 01, 2008. Running is my escape- I feel like I can do anything when I'm out on a run or crossing a finish line. I hope to be able to inspire my kids to be active- whether it's in running or some other activity- just to be healthy. Run loco! Favorite race distance: I love marathons, but I think my favorite distance is half-marathons- they are long enough that it is a challenge, but short enough that you don't hit the wall. Favorite dessert: Anything with oreos in it. Current goal: Ogden Ma...

ACHILLES ME: NO EXCUSES

RUNNING. KILLS ME IF I DO, KILLS ME IF I DON'T. Tuesday, January 5, 2010. My cold weather attitude is much improved this year. I realized there isn't anything I can do to change the temps short of moving south so. I've decided to jump in with both feet and embrace. It;) The last couple of weeks have been interesting- dodging snow banks, and ice patches. Carl spent a couple bucks on a bag of screws and with our homemade, awesome grippy. January 5, 2010 at 4:03 PM. Why didnt I think of your good idea?

made-new: October 2010

Tuesday, October 05, 2010. Dixie's first camping trip was exhausting. There were so many new experiences and smells. When she was not being neurotic about being separated from me, she rested. My very favorite part of camping is relaxing by the campfire. I could sit here for hours. King makes wonderful fires. Of course, snuggling with my family is the best part of the camping. Links to this post. Monday, October 04, 2010. We went camping this weekend. What glorious weather! Even Dixie got in on the action.

Thursday, April 28, 2011. Baptism, Horses, Rube Goldberg and All Manner of Miscellaneous. This year, Palm Sunday was a very exciting celebration of the day Jesus Christ was heralded as King of kings. Our sweet girl was baptized to show her faith in Christ. She has been a believer and professed Christ since kindergarten, but the publicity surrounding a baptism has put her off. Where would a girl be without precious girlfriends? Leaving our English barn means, of course, that we had to leave Leo. I am the ...

made-new: Couch to 5K, Drought and Cactus
http://made-new.blogspot.com/2011/09/couch-to-5k-drought-and-cactus.html
Monday, September 19, 2011. Couch to 5K, Drought and Cactus. I ran with King on Saturday morning. Delightful. What a great way to spend time together! I rested on Sunday. Today is Monday and I worked in the pasture at the barn. The drought is just debilitating. One thing that was alive - cactus! So, I spent an hour or so digging up prickly pear. It was a good way to use my upper body muscles and let my lower body muscles rest. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Dear Me in 1983.

http://made-new.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 16, 2012. I hardly know where to start. I have so many memories stirring in my head. After reading Melanie's post. About her normal weekend, I thought, again, how Caroline will enjoy reading her mom's blog and remembering all the fun, normal, exciting things that she did growing up. She can do that because Melanie has taken the time to write it all down. As I said in my last post, I am really hung on the horn of a delimma about how much to share of our lives with the www. The line from the ...

made-new: July 2010
http://made-new.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 26, 2010. We have the blessing of a great science and nature center at our school. Part of the nature center is a barn with animals. We were recently invited to be part of the goat co-op to help care for and milk Ginger, a Nubian/Alpine goat. We were already helping with Daisy, a cute little pony. Daisy is very easy to care for, but the goat pen is another story. Before we let Ginger out, we make our preparations. Princess puts some feed in the bowl and gets the udder wash ready. Princess sq...

Monday, August 09, 2010. We were blessed to hear Joel Rosenberg speak on the current events in the Middle East during our Colorado trip. He's a very funny guy! Note the body guard just behind him. He was very professional - never smiled the entire night. :). We also enjoyed hearing his parents speak about their ministry called Ministry Architecture. Links to this post. Thursday, May 13, 2010. My husband quipped the other day, "It takes a lot of bandaids raise children." I think that can have a dual meaning - bandaids for the parents' broken hearts and bandaids for children's broken hearts as well as their broken skin. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
