A diary of my adventures with "Mac" - a 2005 BLM mustang who was originally adopted as a yearling. Back in the saddle again! View my complete profile. Thursday, October 2, 2014. Back in the saddle again! Then back to the halt by using hand and not leg. Then we did it from walk to trot. It didn't take too many times before Mac was nicely moving forward. A diary of my adventures with "Mac" - a 2005 BLM mustang who was originally adopted as a yearling. Hey there, sexy! View my complete profile. Thursday, August 21, 2014. Hey there, sexy! It has been a long while since I've posted about Mac! I've been taking each of them out individually for walks in the arena or down the ditch. When she's gone, Mac calls a few times but she doesn't call back. When he's gone, same thing. Today I rode for the first time in a long time - probably a month!

That's where the rider has a little video camera on the helmet and you can kind of get the feel of their ride from seeing it from there view. Well, I don't have a helmet cam. But I do have a cell phone with a video camera! Every now and then if I have good timing, I can actually swat a fly with it!

A diary of my adventures with "Mac" - a 2005 BLM mustang who was originally adopted as a yearling. View my complete profile. Monday, February 24, 2014. Colin got me a bosal for my birthday - I took my own sweet time in deciding when to order it, but I finally did. I worked with Bill Black. On custom sizing for Mac because his head is so big. It came in the mail last week! I tried it on Mac and I'm hoping the sizing is right. Hopefully more pictures soon! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

A diary of my adventures with "Mac" - a 2005 BLM mustang who was originally adopted as a yearling. Another saddle / pad picture. Heres my new saddle pad! View my complete profile. Sunday, January 19, 2014. Another saddle / pad picture. Here's a picture of the saddle with a light navajo blanket on top. Anyway, it was a great ride! Mac wasn't quite sure what to make of them so we just stood and watched a few of them roll down the hill and then we went on our way. He was very good about it! 5) I want someth...

I purchased a young mare named Drifter in May of 2008. She is a cremello Quarter Horse mare. She was started under saddle in the fall of 2008 and delivered a healthy filly April 11, 2009. Since she came to me with no formal training I am blogging to explore the process of horsemanship, non-traditional training methods and holistic training with this beautiful mare. Not much happening here. Let's see. I had a rough spring/summer here. I think I may have posted that I lost Paddy? Mac had a weird health issue around the same time Paddy passed. We spent many dollars with the vet this year and Mac had a couple months off. When I started riding him again, he felt great! But I made it back. I t...
