Welcome to our journey towards self sufficiency and sustainability. During September 2015 my wife and I purchased a 45 acre property 10 minutes north east of Gympie in south east Queensland. Until now, we have been on a much smaller 2.5 acre block at Kenilworth which was quite nice but we did not have permanent water; which made growing food pretty difficult through the dry winter and spring months.
