Ramblings from the cold north: Orion
http://ramblings-of-the-cold-north.blogspot.com/2011/01/orion.html
Ramblings from the cold north. Monday, January 10, 2011. A cold winter’s night I look up at the sky. And get awfully scared, oh yes and oh aye. I spot the Orion my guardian knight. The one who protects me from the dark lord of night. Orion, show bright oh, lend us your frightening might. Please, I pray thee, my knight of the dark. Be a tsar, be strong and if you need to, be stark. But please, use the moon and the star. Dim wounds and hide scars, but show our roads from afar. September 7, 2012 at 8:23 AM.

Ramblings from the cold north: Storm season
http://ramblings-of-the-cold-north.blogspot.com/2015/01/storm-season.html
Ramblings from the cold north. Saturday, January 10, 2015. Storm's name is "Nina". The authorities have issued storm warnings in my region among others. Not sure if it has a name, yet. You know, I think that's something we got from you Americans; the naming of storms. It's silly, like a storm with a cute name is going to wreak less havoc than an unnamed one? Late last night when I was outside with Marianne, I could hear the storm out on the sea. While we were off to hospital, Runar stayed with my dad and...

Ramblings from the cold north: Alive and kicking
http://ramblings-of-the-cold-north.blogspot.com/2015/01/alive-and-kicking.html
Ramblings from the cold north. Friday, January 30, 2015. I'm still very much alive, just busy. My father has been very ill and they had to drain one lung for fluids. He's getting better, but he's still very ill. Physically my mother is doing pretty well. It's her mind that's deteriorating and frighteningly fast. Ambulance and hospital happened. I was so angry at the doctors. They should have hospitalized and monitored closely, if changing meds/dosages. Sendt fra en Samsung Mobil. Married with children...

Ramblings from the cold north: Project; fixing up at the farm
http://ramblings-of-the-cold-north.blogspot.com/2015/06/project-fixing-up-at-farm.html
Ramblings from the cold north. Tuesday, June 23, 2015. Project; fixing up at the farm. We've gotten a good start fixing up at the farm. The cellar is DRY! Which means I can actually store things down there. The reason we need a stone wall there, is to prevent the whole barn from gliding out. Next weekend we're putting up stones and filling in dirt for a flowerbed from the steps along the house to the driveway. I'm going to see if I can get roses to grow up there. Because of the lower temps up the...The o...

Ramblings from the cold north: Raymond E. Feist's A Kingdom Besieged - not quite a review
http://ramblings-of-the-cold-north.blogspot.com/2011/05/raymond-e-feists-kingdom-besieged-not.html
Ramblings from the cold north. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Raymond E. Feist's A Kingdom Besieged - not quite a review. I was thrilled when this book finally landed in my mail box. I'm always thrilled when I get a new book in the Midkemia series, although, I have to admit the thrill hasn't been quite as big as it used to be before Wrath of a Mad God. I miss Nakor and I don't think I'll ever quite forgive Feist for killing off my all time fantasy character. There is trouble brewing anew. No reports are ba...

Just above what we had suggested, which is all kinds of awesome! Flat was put up for sale Monday and we officially accepted an offer on Thursday. We were prepared for a much longer time so I think we're all happily surprised. Yesterday I spent time outside in the sun long enough to gain a couple of freckles. Juhuu!
