After 12 production years of the Nikon F it was time for a new Nikon pro camera. Did I say new? Well the F2 was more like an evolution of the F – but a good one. I purchased the pictured camera at a local camera store in Biel/Switzerland in August 2001. According to the serial number it was built between December 1972 and March 1973. Shown with a matching SC 50mm/1.4 lens.

The DP-2 with center weighted TTL metering was Nikon’s first exposure meter using LED light emitting diodes. Two arrow shaped lights in the viewfinder indicating over-/underexposure (why arrows? The DP-2 was manufactured from 1973 until 1977. And for me personal… it’s the most beautiful F2 one. Shown with a matching 50mm/1.4 K-type.

The F4s consists of a F4 body with an addtional MB-21 battery pack, featuring a second shutter release button for vertical shootings and increasing the motor speed up to 5.7 frames / sec in CH (continous high) mode. To me, the F4s is the most beautiful camera Nikon ever built! Knobs, dials, levers, not a single screen, and then the F4s’ slant, Guigaro did a great design job.

Hoppas på bra väder. Idag efter skolan åkte jag och mamma in till Täby Centrum för att köpa lite vinterkläder till mig. Det blev en jättefin röd dunjacka och ett par fodrade Dr Martensliknande skor.
