The 17th May is celebrated as Norway's independence from Sweden and Denmark which happened around 1814. Well, the 17th May celebrations that I experienced were very "Norwegian" as you would expect, with the women dressed up in their traditional clothing (bunad) and the men smart in shirts and suits. And I would recommend it to all of you too.

For general chat about all things Norwegian. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. Norway In Eurovision 2011. Well, Norway's Eurovision entry was a bit of a let down this year. It was a catchy tune called Habba Habba (my girlfriend kept singing and dancing to it), but, it didn't represent Norway at all in my opinion. So no wonder that Norway didn't go through to the Eurovision finals. Ah well, not really that important to be honest, but at least something Norwegian related to talk about. How To Leave Comments.

My Norwegian Adventure
Tuesday, 20 March 2012. Day 38- 8th March 2012. So got up at my usual time of 7am and got ready, grabbed my skis and headed for the bus! Got to the Kindergarten and dived straight into work! 18 children to be dressed for going outside for the day. oh the joys! It's not that difficult really it's just that over here the children put on their own coats and outdoor gear and if they want help you give it to them. They're well capable of being that independent if they're given the time to do it themselves!
