SAM 서비스가 아니었다면 선택하지 않았을지도 모를 소설. 아니 소설의 형식을 빌은 투자 에세이. 본인을 [추세추종자] 라 칭하는 주인공의 시점에서 80년대부터의 굵직한 투자시장의 흐름들을 정말 운좋게 흘러온 이야기로 풀어나가는 소설. 아쉬운 점이 있다면 정말 잘 풀린 케이스에서의 '여유'를 논하지 말고 좋지 않은 시점에서의 '마음가짐'에 대해서 조금이라도 논해 줘 봤다면 하는 생각이 있다. 이런 책을 읽는 대부분의 사람들은 좋은 시점을 어긋나서 투자시장에 들어왔거나, 그 좋은 시점을 잘못된 생각으로 놓쳐버린 불운아일 경우가 많을테니 말이다. 글 중간에 있던 말처럼 과거를 공부하지 않은 사람들은 똑같은 실수를 되풀이하고, 과거를 공부한 사람들은 또다른 방법으로 실수하기 마련인 투자시장에서 어떻게 하면 글쓴이의 말처럼 '어떻게 하면 더 행복하게 살 수 있을까에 대한 생각과 그에 따른 투자활동'이 무엇일지 한번쯤 진지하게 생각해보게 만드는 책이었다.
