Sunday, June 6, 2010. I awake at 8am in so much pain it is incredible. I can't believe I actually feel asleep for 7 hours because I haven't slept for more than 1-2 hours at a time in days. I guess it finally caught up with me. But my body without one drop of meds in it for 7 hours is a painful body. I get dressed my husband brings the car around and I make the long trek to the car. Living in a huge apartment with no garage in San Francisco makes for a lot of walking. Ever read the original Little Mermaid?

Thursday, June 10, 2010. I manage to sleep through the night with very little medication but my husband set the clock anyway and so I was woken at 3am and 6 am as usual. When I finally did wake I was in a lot of pain. I kept dreaming I was being tortured by Cromwell and then realized that I was home in bed and needed some medication. Tuesday, June 8, 2010. The first pebble was yellow mucus streaked and I wanted to google it but couldn't move. I was wracked with pain and decided to try and squat to move things along, but couldn't get into the position so I asked my hubby to get me a chair and I put my feet on that. Thursday, June 3, 2010. Here is my packing list and here is what I actually ended up using. Big soft draw pants, Tank and sweat shirt. They were great as soon as I got home but didn't use it at the hospital and it was so hot the sweat shirt was unthinkable. I didn't use it. the hospital ones are more convenient when you have an IV and the Drs need access to your back. Peppermint tea Rooibos tea-. Priceless. Hospital cups are too small and hours later your tea is still hot. Eye shades and ear plugs-.
