Just north of Santa Barbara, CA. We had such a fun time. We even got a special tour of the little animal farm above the property. The rancher called all of the goats and donkeys over to us. We stayed up talking with our friends the Larges. Ate lots of treats. Went into the city. Rode our bikes all along the coast and saw a good handful of whales. Tons of dophins, birds, seals! It's {officially} a BOY. At 12 weeks Ben and I decided to go up to Costa Mesa to do the early ultrasound thing. You aren't supposed to go until a little later.and we knew that but we were kind of anxious. SO.we went up and they said.hard to say but I would go with boy. So Valentines day rolls around and I go crazy. What isn't to love about love. Really? So luckily, I'm not the only one in this holiday loving boat. Those first few days Bringing Jude home. There is nothing better in the entire world. Those first few moments and days. Just staring at this beautiful life that you just created. This perfect little babe. With both Ella Jude I do absolutely nothing. I don't read, I don't watch T.V., I rarely look at my phone. I honestly almost completely detach from everything other than what's happening in that tiny little hospital room with my new baby and I. I just want to savor every second of that calm and stillness.

Michigan Road Trip June 2015. After spending a week exploring Michigan I am more in love than ever with this beautiful state we get to temporarily call home. Home base for a few days. Did lots of fun mini day trips but it was so nice to come back here every night. View from the back porch. ahhh. These girls and I went and toured the Grand Traverse light house while Dave stayed with a napping Hudson in the car. Too bad the scafolding kinda ruined the charm of the light house. Oh well. Top of the lighthouse.
