My Outdoor Life is a website for outdoor enthusiasts to engage in social networking through personal profiles. My goal is to create a social networking site that can be used to build a community of people who love the outdoors and can share their adventures. My target audience is men and women ages 20-50 who hike, mountain bike, kayak, mountain climb, ski, etc. The audience will likely expect the site to work very similarly to Facebook, which it won't. Unfortunately.

My Outdoor Life is a website for outdoor enthusiasts to engage in social networking through personal profiles. The site will use Georgia, or Times New Roman for the headings depending on the browser. This will bring a professional feel to the site as they are serif fonts. I will also use Helvetica for the body text. It is a very readable sans serif font that works well for screens. I am using a lot of greens for the site to convey the outdoor theme.

I made two tables in my database. One for users and the other for posts. They are linked by the user's table primary key appears as a foreign key on the post table. The post table included a timestamp so that posts could be sorted by most recent.
