Stitches and Ditches: Key Chain Tutorial
http://stitchesandditches.blogspot.com/2013/02/key-chain-tutorial.html
Trying to find a way of squeezing more minutes and smiles out of my day. Wednesday, February 20, 2013. Old jeans from the scrap bag cut into 2½"x14½" strips. I happen to be fortunate to live with a couple of XXXL guys and I have found that you can get 14 to 15 key chains per pant leg, but really, if they're in the scrap bag, does it matter? Feel good about that! Focus fabric cut to 2½" x 14¼". Steam a Seam Lite or similar fusible cut to 7/8" x 14". 1¼" swivel snap hook. Now its time to slip the snap hook...

IN A SkNIT: July 2015
http://inasknit.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Knitting and Living with Passion. Thursday, July 30, 2015. Finding out that you have a cancerous lump is scary. What is even scarier is the speed with which all the wheels of treatment start. Scary because when there is speed in treatment means it is very serious. Three months of giving your life over to the medical establishment completely and absolutely if you choose that route. Which I have. I had a day away from all of this on Sunday when I spent a day on the beach. Yes under a canopy with lots o...

IN A SkNIT: January 2014
http://inasknit.blogspot.com/2014_01_01_archive.html
Knitting and Living with Passion. Tuesday, January 21, 2014. The Polar Vortex is back. It feels like the cold we used to get when I was a child in Montreal. So cold that your nose hairs freeze. So cold that it hurts to breathe in too deeply. Walking on snow at this cold temperature creates a wonderful squeaky noise. Like plastic on plastic. I love the sound. Walking the dog tonight made that sound. Of course she hates it. She rushes out to. What is to do on a Polar Vortex night? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

IN A SkNIT: July 2011
http://inasknit.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Knitting and Living with Passion. Sunday, July 17, 2011. I have wanted to design lace for a long time. The problem is that I am not a person who naturally adheres to repetitions. My mind starts to wander after repeating something a few times. I start planning modifications to the plan. Re planning the plan . Then adding more change to the plan. In the end I may have something that is really wonderful but completely impossible to reproduce or to document. So I am not a real fan of knitting lace. Not b...
