I've decided that at this time I will only been taking quilts that need all-over patterns, and not taking any custom quilts (separate designs in blocks and borders.). I am going to focus on all-over patterns, and will keep adding new patterns regularly. If you'd like to use a design that I don't have, just ask, and I will find just the right fit for your quilt. Boyden, IA 51234. Adding Borders to your Quilt. For a simple diagram showing how avoid wavy borders. Your backing and batting need to be at least 4 to 6 inches bigger than your quilt top on all sides. To square up the fabric I may need to trim a few inches off, possibly leaving your backing too small. Printed backings will hide any stops and starts. He spends a couple of days here during the week and then we're both here Friday through Sunday. We have house-sitters in our house in town while we're here.
