Believe it or not, I once thought about writing a book on chocolate specifically the types of chocolate all over the world but was disheartened yet unsurprised to learn that a lot have been said about this favorite food/flavor. And for chocolate lovers, here's another good news. Check into the Hershey's Lodge in Pennsylvania and you'll get unlimited chocolates for free!

Sunday, May 18, 2008. One of the top stories on nytimes.com today America’s Scraps, Another Country’s Meal. Is very timely with "food/rice shortage" and consequently, rising food prices. (And with Bush's comment that the rising income of India's middle class is causing food shortage which India rightly responded back with how much America is wasting). You may want to add global warming because food in the landfills produces greenhouse gases. I do not like it when I see people throw away food and I do see...

Saturday, September 22, 2007. I came across the word Palisades just now (from people.com) and memories of my teenage years flash back. Palisades High was one of the school features in the Sweet Valley High pocketbook series. If you were born in the '80s, that makes you a teen by the '90s, you surely did not miss reading at least one Sweet Valley High pocketbook. Who does not know Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield? And Todd and Ken, their high school sweethearts? Images from www.soundtrackcollector....Why i...

No Ordinary Girl: YES WE CAN
http://joycesing.blogspot.com/2008/11/yes-we-can.html
Saturday, November 8, 2008. I was working long hours the whole week so was not updated with recent events. I was watching the US elections closely though because (1) it is historic - choice between having the first black president and the oldest elected president and (2) whoever gets voted will face a rough and tough time ahead and will make the most crucial decisions involving American and global economy, war in Iraq among others. Monday, February 18, 2008. I Left my Heart in San Francisco. How could I miss it? The other day I watched a special. Episode (on the Lifestyle Network) where the subject was chocolate (I suppose in line with Valentines). The show format takes viewers from the raw produce to the finish product of an item. On that particular episode, the host went from the cacao plantation to a chocolate cake on a birthday celebration. To take to a friend's birthday). See Scharffen Berger website here. Not So Amazing Finish.
